Yeah but noone knows for a fact that parents called Cal. Maybe Cal just felt he needed to get down there. Idk I'm never optimistic on recruiting till the kid is committed. Kinda had a feeling family would win out. Usually does. That's why I never got hyped over the 10 page thread saying we got him. It probably came down to UK and OSU but OSU started getting friends to commit and with his brother there. It's over.

Also, I honestly thought this case was different because of the trouble OsU is in and that UK really made a strong case for him.

I have read a couple of analysts that said they thought that CC was probably the better player, but that the style that Askew played, they thought he might be better for the team that Cal would put on the floor. Either way, Askew only needs one summer course, and I think he now goes 2020. I am so thankful we got him.

18-80 against Oklahoma all time.
9-25 against Texas.
9-17 against Texas A&M.
5-37 against Nebraska.
But I do understand how every fan base thinks their program is "nationally" relevant to the fans involved.

There’s been a lot of random fly by posters from smaller programs who’ve popped up here, but Ok St fans are shooting up to the top as the absolute worse. Really reminds me of those LSU fans who were beating their chest when Simmons was there, and then failed to even make the tournament.
Yet, we were one game away from the Final Four last year and just led the preseason #1 team from start to finish.
We've had a harder time landing the top 5 kids because programs are cheating out of their asses to try and keep pace.
I've advocated for a staff shakeup for the past few years, but sometimes **** just happens. If Memphis doesn't hire Penny, Wiseman is at Kentucky. Oklahoma State hires Cade's brother as an assistant for the sole purpose of getting him there.
I just refuse to believe that these top big men are choosing other programs over Kentucky via clean, legit recruitments. It just doesn't make sense. Not only is our HC the best recruiter in the modern era, but we have arguably the best big man developer in Kenny Payne. Former players who are doing quite well in the NBA rave about Payne's coaching and development that prepared them for the next level.
It's why KAT has severely outperformed Okafor, and why PJ Washington is already making more noise than any other rookie frontcourt player that I've seen thus far, averaging 15 and 6. Bam is at 12 and 8. Randle is at 14 and 9.
