Crazy to me - 6-10 years ago this would be laughed at. A sophomore literally with no chance at the NBA to leave school early.

Briscoe was a glue guy and a good defender. Kentucky would have been worse without him, jumpshot or not. Reminds me of Kasey Hill.
Seems like an odd decision. Kid must really hate school. I'm not trashing him at all but he's a solid college ball player who I just can't see projecting very highly in the NBA. I would love to be wrong obviously as I wish him nothing but the best.

This really isn't too surprising. He was wanting to leave last season.

I'm not a whiner at all (feel free to check my posts). If you like starting five freshmen then more power to you. I prefer not.

I still remember Isaiah Thomas of IU going pro as a Sophomore and how crazy I thought that was.
I wish the kid nothing but the best but we will never win another title with this amount of roster turnover every year... especially when it involves kids who have literally no shot at being drafted.

I'm interested because 'Zay is from here in NJ just a couple towns away from where I live. I saw him play numerous times in High School at Roselle Catholic, including against the high school in my town. Would his position in the NBA be a pure point guard? Why do you guys think he didn't develop a jump shot? Did he just not put in the hours/reps required? Did his shot improve even a little while he was with Cal? Is it a complete joke that he's declaring or does he have a a chance to make and hang with a team? Thanks.
Actually not. People like Kobi Simmons and others are doing this too. People like to say only at Uk but wrong , wrong ,wrong ,wrong.
People say this, but they dismiss that it's the reason Cal gets so many good players to begin with. Freshman come in, they want PT, they want to have a shot to make a name for themselves. The problem, as a fan, is not every team gels and comes together quickly enough to win games.
He is a pure pg in the pros. I think he will spend a year in the NBADL and make a roster eventually like both the twins did but won't play near as much as Andrew does as Andrew is a damn good all around player.
Kobi Simmons will get drafted and some NBA team will give him a multi-year contract to develop him. Briscoe will be in Istanbul this time next year. Try harder.
I guarantee Kobi Simmons will get drafted. Probably before the top half of the 2nd round. Isaiah Briscoe? Almost no chance.
He probably won't play much here. I think we are overhyping some of these last minute recruit except Bamba.
Andrew Harrison is far better than Isaiah Briscoe. Adequate shooter, better size and equivalent athlete.
