This is really going to hurt us next season.Doesn't look like we will have any experience at all.

Good luck to Briscoe and thanks for your time hear. Once a CAT...always a CAT.

The saying...."NEXT!!!" now comes to mind.

No shocker. Really wanted to leave last year. I really hope it works our for him. I truly don't think he would have started next year ahead of Diallo. I know some will laugh at that, but Diallo is not gonna be a slouch. The only spot Briscoe would have started would be a PG and that wasn't gonna happen either.

I don't despise Briscoe like some, but I do have some harsh opinions on him as a player. I always found him to be an overrated defender, liability on offense because he can't shoot more or less at all and never seemed particularly interested in being a playmaker, and limited by his size and athleticism. I know people will probably come at me over those opinions, but you also have to couple those things with the fact that I think Briscoe *believes* he's a lottery pick (as a lot of these guys do).

I just really don't think it hurts UK's chances next year as much as some people seem to think. "Man, would love to have his leadership." Really? Not seeing it. Hawkins and Fox became the on court leaders for this team in my opinion, watching from afar.

Logically being a starter at any blue blood > D-league. However, he got some good feedback last year and wanted to be one and one then. This really isn't a shock.

Gotta agree with ya on that. His lack of height on D really hurt him and defenders had zero respect for his shot.

I think there is immense pressure on a kid to believe he is a failure if he comes in as being a OAD and returns for his junior year.

Agree 100% He simply wasn't as good of a defender as he was hyped up to be. I think sometimes when guards aren't very good offensive players people just label them a stopper by default. He had one really good defensive game against Grayson Allen as a freshman and ever since then people seemed to ignore evidence to the contrary and just continue believing he was some sort of defensive stalwart. In reality he was a mediocre defender due to his lack of length and marginal foot speed.

Horrible take. He wouldn't sniff their jockstraps.

At no point in his career did I ever think, "This guy is definitely better than the twins." I felt comfortable with the Harrisons having the ball most of the time. They got us to the 2014 title game and Andrew's final drive got us over Notre Dame to get to the Final Four.

Well we are in trouble next year. We needed Briscoe's experience.
I'm officially worried to death about next years team. 10 losses are possible for sure now.
The new guards have got to be dynamite defenders as freshman lol.....we know how that usually goes.

play in europe now...get the degree later. its the better choice of the two.

This guy is likely headed to a place where English will not be the first language and doesn't know anyone and he'll have maybe one or two teammates at the most, who comes from the states. That's not an easy adjustment for a 20 year old.

10 losses may be optimistic unless we can get bamba and Knox.

Also I laugh every time I read about "Maybe we'll have some guys return from next year's class" for the 2018-2019 season. The only reason they are here is to get out as soon as possible and they will undoubtedly be recruited over for the next group of freshmen.

Is it gonna be a long year next year? Looks like we'll be starting five freshmen.

Can't be sure till it all shakes out but I agree with you 100%. And if we end up with five freshmen starting that's bad. There are posters that hate when you say it but I sure feel like it's a bad thing.

Don't get me wrong I love playing freshmen but it's looking like our top 6-7 guys are gonna be freshman.

UK has never started 5 frosh except after wcs got hurt in 2014 ncaa tourney.

U are a clueless poster making stuff up.

Sheesh. Really? I mean, really? I am certainly not clueless. I didn't mean that we've started five freshmen before. Just simply that we've started a lot of freshmen.

No need to create conflict where none should exist.

All you whiners on this thread, get ready. Cal has signed a bunch of guys who are not likely to be one-and-done, beyond Diallo. I'd guess their ceiling is not as high as teams with guys like Monk and Fox and Bam. So, your wish is about to come true.

My prediction: You will all be here throughout the season and especially next March whining that Kentucky isn't up to snuff, and whining loudest when the team goes out at the Sweet 16. You'll be wishing for a team like this year -- the one that came a last second shot from the Final Four.

You aren't really sick of the one-and-done. You were fine with AD and MKG and the National Championship. You are just entitled crybabies who will whine any year you don't get the NC you think you deserve.

I guarantee you a majority of this incoming class leaves after one year. That's the primary function of our program as of today.

His heart wasn't fully invested in Kentucky? If that is true, I'm glad he is gone.

Try a little comprehension though I could have worded it better to assure there were no misunderstandings but I think he truly loved the University of Kentucky but had no use for college? Does that make sense to you? Yep, go ahead and state UK is a college... I guess we can leave it at that. be Good (I even fixed it for you in my original post.)
