Damn this 2021 coaching carousel is wild, probably had to hold on to Frost out of necessity. We could have very well been left out in the cold with all the movement going on.

Still plenty of quality coaches out there. The main surprise moves are elite coaches jumping from one elite school to another, so this has very little effect on who we thought was available in the first place.

You got to be kidding. Kelly is a pretty good coach. Now that he won't be restricted by ND's entrance requirements and he will be able to cheat like the rest of the SEC I think he will do alright.

Good luck to the man, but I don't see him challenging for the alpha spot in the SEC....he's probably somewhere between the 3rd-best and the 5th-best coach in his own division and he's never seen anything in terms of consistent competition like he's slated to see in the SEC West.

Looking way ahead...2025, what's a successful season with this schedule? This is absurdly difficult.

I don't think that's the end all of his compensation though. The reports are he was making around 7mil a yr. Total compensation. Contract, shoe, radio media deals etc....

Well then I will humbly submit my application. I literally pulled out ALL the stops...

Regular Armchair QB ('91 - present), Church Attender (when I can), Dislike for Navy (Crayon Lives Matter), Wearing Gold on important days, have owned a piece of ND memorabilia.

Also, I don't yell a lot... my mouth doesn't look like a Venus fly trap and my cheeks are living their best life.

Still plenty of "quality" coaches? Who? I guess you cold say there are several tiers, Elite, quality and the rest. For sure, there aren't many in that Elite category.

I can't imagine the turmoil on this board alone if Nebraska was looking for a HC in all this mess. The mods couldn't keep up and the "I heard" posts would be coming relentlessly. The interesting thing is all we can do is sit back, get some popcorn and watch the fun begin.

Fickell, Campbell, Mullen, and Aranda were considered the top tier throughout the season and are still out there. You could maybe throw Herman or Brady in that group as well. Literally nothing would have changed for our choices just because a few top coaches switched from one elite school to another. Also we would have had the jump on a coach while Oklahoma and Notre Dame have been left out in the cold. Nothing's changed really.
