If the Celtics draft him his Jersey will have Boston on both sides.
Why would you not want a player with great potential to come back his 2nd year? He has tried all year and hasn't had a bit of quit in him.
If this kid wants ANY CHANCE at a career in the NBA he would return but his handlers are going to say take the dough and he will play in the G-league. Whoever drafts him will bring him up just because they wasted a 1st round pick on him at some point and he will be gone from the league fast. I will root for the kids success for he and his family absolutely but that league will destroy a 6'7 kid with zero quickness, zero explosiveness, average vertical, zero lift on his jumper for the most part and a very sketchy handle.I believe there's zero chance this kid stays, zero. This is just another article like we've read every year and then boom, mass exodus, this year will be no different, only way, is that it will likely be worse. I believe he should and ultimately it would be beneficial to both parties, though this is Cal we're talking about...he's gone.
Question do you honestly believe the NIT would take a 9-16 team? They would get annihilated, rightfully so. They need to get this **** show over soon and the less people that see Boston in game action will be much much better for the young man. This is why we should play in the NIT if we can get an invite. WCS said the Robert Morris loss was instrumental in his returning. Sometimes it takes that extra nudge to show a player they’re not ready.
That said, BJ was probably gone before he set foot on campus.
The may all leave like usual but this year for certain any GM who takes anyone outside of IJ deserves to be fired.
Showing glimpses. Fleeting glimpses. I’m thinking he’ll pretty much be at this level foreverYou don’t get it obviously. Boston got off to a very slow start and is just now starting to show glimpses of his potential. He’s getting better. He wouldn’t come back and suck: the difference in money over the long run is substantial if he comes back and has a better start. Short term thinking is why people go homeless. One and done isn’t for everyone especially for a guy who started the way Boston did.
It’s hillarious isnt it?

I don't think Tshiebwe is (and maybe never will be) an NBA draft darling. But he sure is likely to be a problem for teams in college. I think he's a good piece, but just a piece who needs other good players around him - particularly a backcourt that can score from the perimeter.Still won't stop them though. They only players I want back are Jackson, Mintz, Keion, and Toppin. Jackson should go if he needs the money. If he waits a year, he and Oscar could go 1, 2, in the draft.
I'm with you. We want those multi-year players because they are generally the best players in college - and college is the level we care about as UK fans. That doesn't mean we don't want all the players to be successful, what kind of screwed up person wouldn't want that (I know, the miserable and terrible exist, but we're talking the majority which are good people here).so Why do we want multi year players then? Take a better side than that

Remember when Boston got hot from 3 in consecutive games, and we were all "There he is! The Boston we expected!"
Since those games, he has shot 4/21 from 3 and 7/23 from 2.
He's a poor shooting, high usage guard. His greatest strength is that he doesn't turn the ball over. If he discovers any bit of shooting efficiency, he will bloom.
Saying “if someone discovers any bit of shooting” could make 200 college players good too.
If the Celtics draft him his Jersey will have Boston on both sides.
Doubt his documentary will see a season two. He could be great but we know how this goes
Going from "horrible" at shooting to just "bad" is progress too lol
those posters just want what they feel fits theyre agenda. It’s funny that the same people who want Cal to keep players are the first to say “please leave BJ”. Show me a college player (walk on or scholarship) that doesn’t improve from more experience. It rarely happens that a player doesn’t get better with experience and another year of maturity. If we want a championship contender we need guys with the highest potential to come back. Doesn’t matter if you like him or not
It’s absolutely mind boggling to me that a team would use a first round pick on him.If this kid wants ANY CHANCE at a career in the NBA he would return but his handlers are going to say take the dough and he will play in the G-league. This is weird. But okay. Bye.If he returns .. I won’t watch the Cats. Period .
That's a pretty short list thoughSadly, but another UK player to leave early and never to be heard from again.
You do understand you literally contradict yourself in the last sentence. You’re sick of one and done and don’t care who leaves or stays? Wouldn’t it make sense that if you’re sick of one and done, you’d be elated to have players stay? Sounds to me like you just want to be miserable and unhappy no matter any outcome.Boston has not shown anything that jumps out at me. Not bashing the kid but the things he does can be done by most players playing D-1 BB. His court awareness is not good, his jump shot needs work, he has not shown that he can beat his man of the dribble, his defense is suspect. He is not strong with the ball or physically strong. All that being said, I am sure he will leave after this year and honestly I don't care one way or the other what he does. I have grown tired of the one and done system and I am to the point where I don't care who leaves or who comes back.
This is weird. But okay. Bye.
I admit I am not an NBA guy; I don't follow them much at all except to scan ESPN headlines to see fit any UK guys are mentioned.STLCats and UKJeff would be in the fetal position if he came back. Or they would be up all night writing more hate mail towards him. One or the other.

We have begged for years to have players come back and continue to improve. Why would we not want these guys to come back and build a more experienced roster? I can't understand how people want these guys to leave just so we can do it again next year with more inexperience and unknowns. I would take a 2nd year with all of these guys rather than a reclassification or a prayer on another transfer.
And empty in between.....oh come on now....just kidding....goodnessIf the Celtics draft him his Jersey will have Boston on both sides.
You don't show up with a movie crew and have a mindset of coming back. He came in looking to leave. It’s funny that the same people who want Cal to keep players are the first to say “please leave BJ”.
