Ha.Crouch and Irving Fryar
exactly what someone on the outside looking in would say.Ha.
Rozier and Fryar were never leaving Nebraska. We paid them too well.
Go collect your participation ribbon softieYou don't know **** about anything and you're gonna call him soft?
Mofos like you ain't ever played a down of real football in your life.
If you're gonna lie folks, go HUGE.Funny that you say that. My brother was a walk on for the NU track team. Ran a 10.3 100 meter. He told me in order to be academically ineligible it was almost impossible. Of course the next semester he was academically ineligible. He's a world class dumb@ss so I wasn't surprised. That said, it's hard to do.
Time for dinner kiddo.Go collect your participation ribbon softie
There is no mid semester grade check for eligibility. He would have had to have been ineligible at semester. That would have been known over Christmas and he wouldn’t have been a part of the team since then.
hell kids that are one a done in basketball basically skip 2nd semester and can play the whole season.

Don’t need to go that far honestly. That was the Nathan Gerry plan.I still remember hearing that Shaun Marcum who took missouri state to the college world series in june, was then a high draft pick, and had a decent MLB career hadn't been to a class since December that year. Don't know if it was true or not.
COULD NOT AGREE MORE!!!At some point we all need to realize that HEAD COACHES with potential who haven't tapped into it in 2-3 seasons just aren't going to suddenly become all-conference COACHES.
You got it gramps.Time for dinner kiddo.
Mom is calling.
Is it in Betts’ home in omaha?OWH article states Betts has a meeting with Frost Friday to decide his future with the team
Damon Benning made it sound like he left on his own.Maybe. Crouch was called a "*****" by more than one person on the CNN/SI board I was on at the time.
Did the coaches kick Betts out or did he leave on his own
He would throw away his best talent? I don't get it. Please don't tell me he's trying to be a tiktok influencer.Benning’s take is that the kid has an active life outside the football program. Joseph has upped expectations for the WRs and let’s face it, Betts’ practice habits weren’t winning any awards with Lubick. So he’s determining whether he wants to do football.
Can’t wait until all the Riley recruits who don’t make football a priority are gone!Benning’s take is that the kid has an active life outside the football program. 100%. Kid is getting burned out. There is a reason D-I football isn't for everybody. Best of luck to the young man in whatever he chooses to doBetts has to decide if he wants to play football or not. Simple as that.

This is why Nebraska has so many scholarship WRs on the roster. Turnover was coming when we hired joseph. And I wouldn’t be shocked if Betts comes back on the teamBenning’s take is that the kid has an active life outside the football program. you've got a lot of players struggling with mixed messages
it has been a clown show the 4 years prior, now you have some assistants who actually know what it takes to run a power 5 program and are running things accordingly
however, it is not lost on the players that these assistants immediate upline remains the head clown that has been the ring leader of the entire circus for the last 4 years - lots of confusion
Yeah, he ran a 10.9 in my hometown in HS. Just got better in college. Was about to be put on scholarship at UNL and f'd it up. I'll never forget him getting asked by Ralph Brown for a ride home in his 10 year old Cougar. Coolest thing is I was not a sprinter like he was and ran long distance. He showed up at the Doane track meet when I was a Junior and gave me golden spiked Nike sprinter shoes for the meet. I didn't care they weren't long distance shoes and I sure as heck wore them. Wish I had a picture of them.Holy ****, 10.3 is elite world class speed. A walk on at Nebraska?
He also couldn't catch for **** as a WR, but was told by TO (pulled aside) we'll keep an eye on you at football camp. Speed matters. Catching does too lol. If you've seen Unnecessary Roughness, he was the guy that everyone said, "Don't throw to stone hands".Yeah, he ran a 10.9 in my hometown in HS. Just got better in college. He beat the hell out of the state champ on scholly at UNL. Had a bad groin injury Junior Year. Think DeAngelo Evens.Yeah, he ran a 10.9 in my hometown in HS. Just got better in college. Suspect we will be reading about him in the papers one day in the future and sadly it will not be in the sports page. Way too many young males out there like this these days. Sad to waste all that athletic talent but he was given a chance.Betts doesn't like having a male role model steer him toward the light. The kid lives off campus, had classroom trouble since high school, has been reported to skip meetings and workouts. He is just not a good young man. He can run fast though. When you have a room full of wide eyed kids busting *** and buying in, you don't have time for a non receptive **** head that still hasn't locked in after a few years playing college ball.
What type of side business could he possibly be engaged in on the side?Benning’s take is that the kid has an active life outside the football program. probably yards not metersHoly ****, 10.3 is elite world class speed. A walk on at Nebraska?
Likely crypto, NFTs, tik tok, dropshipping, CBD and real estate speculation. What type of side business could he possibly be engaged in on the side?
Could this whole situation have anything to do with his NIL gig or perhaps lack there of ? So one thing occurred to me he has former teammates from B-West that are now at Iowa, Auburn and Oklahoma. Is it possible he’s stressing that his portion of the ‘pie’ perhaps in comparison with his peers, doesn’t meet his expectations? Is there a 3rd party that is calling the shots on this? Weird times indeed. What type of side business could he possibly be engaged in on the side?
I agree...I had a friend that was a walkon in the mid-late 90's and when he was done he said he ******* hated it. Said he hated lifting and would never lift again, said he hated the conditioning and the practices, said he hated how he was treated by the staff once they realize you are never going to play. Not like they were mean but just like they didn't really care.100%. Kid is getting burned out. There is a reason D-I football isn't for everybody. Best of luck to the young man in whatever he chooses to do
