You are 100% correct. But I’m guessing you and I can go back to the glory days when we were feared by all. We can hang our hats on memories of incredible football. And that allows us to hope for the magic.again. So I can see where if you are a younger fan, 20-30 years old you may wonder if the program is dead. If 5 different coaches to varying degrees haven’t been able to restore the program. It must feel like “why should I invest my time in this crap”. But you are correct, we just need the right guy.Everyone wants the coach with the "wow" factor. Urban Meyer, Ed Orgeron, Lane Kiffin, etc...Well sports fans we got that guy 4 short years ago. His name was Scott Frost. He was the hottest young coach in the country. Florida, Tennessee and a bunch of other big name schools were after him. NU got him and here we are 4 years later as an utter failure. Mike Riley and Bill Callahan were better hires with better records. Let that sink in Husker Nation. So, if and when Trev hires a guy that everyone says who, what and why? Just look at MSU and Mel Tucker. He was that guy. We don't need the wow factor. We need a solid fundamentals coach who can prepare a team to not look like a clown show every week. Who can develop talent. Who will pull your *** if you're still making the bonehead plays after 4 years!! Much sooner. A guy that will be a "wow" coach after 5 to 10 years of wins and stability. The recruits will come with the new facilities, the fan support and NIL money. Once we start winning again. We play in the Big 10 West. A solid coach who teaches discipline and fundamentals can come in here next year and win 8. Just by not beating ourselves and gifting games away. Winning the West every year or every other year. Guaranteed. Don't lose faith Husker fans. Don't say well if Frost can't win who can? That's such a defeatist loser attitude it makes me sick. We are ****ing Nebraska!! We are bigger than one man or one failed coach. Frost tried his best. It didn't pan out. Time to part ways and find our Mel Tucker. GBR!!!
