Perhaps I missed this but just saw this article about this elite IOL, Kyler Kuhn. Seems like a great fit at Iowa (he's also considering Nebbie and Mizzou).
He is a good wrassler ................................

Hawkeyes fans would try to argue Kuhn would be making the biggest mistake of his life if he didn't commit to Iowa. That may be a stretch, but at the same time, this program's track record with offensive linemen speaks for itself.

Kuhn is currently the No. 2 player in Missouri. His name has begun to resurface as a top candidate for Iowa, but the Hawkeyes' Class of 2027 is still up in the air. Recently, they were named as the frontrunner for the No. 2 quarterback in the country. If Iowa keeps up at this pace, it could easily have one of the best classes in this cycle.

FloWrestling touted Kuhn as a Missouri Class 3 285-pound state champion as a sophomore. That year, he finished with a 37-3 record. High school wrestling doesn't always translate to a successful high school football player, but in this case, it sure helps. Kuhn is undoubtedly one of the top offensive linemen in this class and Iowa seems willing to do whatever it takes to land him.

Kirk loves wrestlers along the offensive line.

I think his brother is the starting heavyweight at Air Force

How are we feeling about Slagle out of Grinnell? He's crystal balled with high confidence to Penn State, however recently visited Iowa again.

ISU has two O-linemen in the NFL. Not a very good track record. Hawks have numerous prospects they are after so we'll be fine.
I count about 8 OL currently in the NFL from Penn State, said nothing about ISU. Not sure what your point is.

Those are James Franklin developed linemen for Penn State. The ISU ones are Matt Campbell developed so it’s more relevant to talk about the ISU players considering Franklin isn’t the coach there anymore…
Correct. NFL isn’t drafting guys just because one jersey said PSU and the other said ISU. Campbell’s staff will still have to prove they can develop them.

Kid and family are ISU fans. Now of course it's a dumpster fire, they have less chance than Iowa. They did love Mattie so he will almost certainly to to PSU.

But he's still an Iowa kid, KF and Co. still have to try. Sometimes long shots pay off.

Looking at the predictions, it looks like Halliman, Riordan, and Brenneman. Also interestingly it looks like Tate Wallace will be headed up north.

18 official visitors are scheduled. Have not seen Nawrot's name added. Hawks are leading for several players. In addition to squeezebox's list, I think we have a good shot at Johnson also.

It would be sick to land both those players from Noblesville IN. Not sure how Iowa is doing with Mason Mcdermott, but he's been in a few times.

So should get us to a CFP! Kirk will coach them up to a #10 ranked team. NC State kind of surprising. I think Phillip Rivers son just committed there. We see you Meat Chicken!

Louisville have some wealthy donors?

I have a sneaking suspicion about Nawrot...... He Gone.
It’s strange all of the predictions that have been made for sometime haven’t come into fruition yet. Usually after the predictions come in it’s just a matter of a few days.

Nawrot mentioned he's hoping to make a decision in early spring. I hope timeline hasn't changed now that he's blowing up nationally.

I don't think Nawrot is gone at all.

I do think he wants to visit a couple other schools and decide. Those schools seem to know/feel Iowa is the team to beat but they aren't conceding.

How the heck is Neb pulling in a Top 10 class? That program has been **** for 15 years....
It's pretty early, there is only 6 commits in that class, hell Iowa has been top ten at this point in the year previously. It doesn't mean **** until signing day, as well all know.

Iowa named likely destination for three class of 2027 recruits

Story by Jordon Lawrenz
• 4h•
2 min read

Not one, not two, but three Class of 2027 recruits are predicted to join the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Longtime head coach Kirk Ferentz continues to work his magic, as Rivals' Allen Trieu wasted no time pinpointing which three recruits are dead-set on joining the Hawkeyes.

Of these three recruits, two are offensive tackles while one is a defensive tackle. Only one is an in-state recruit which goes to show how well they've done in this recruiting cycle.

There's still plenty of time and things could always change, but Trieu only makes these predictions when he's 99.99% confident these battles will go Iowa's way.

1. Offensive Tackle Mason Halliman

Back on February 20 it was reported that Iowa was "high on the list" for Halliman. The 6'5'' 280-pounder is a three-star recruit that has an official visit lined up for June 5, 2026.
"He has long had a great relationship with the staff and speaks highly of Iowa's offensive line history and development," Trieu said. "He has a Top Six and Illinois is going to try to cut into the Iowa lead when they host him next month, but this one trends Hawkeyes."

For what it's worth, Halliman is an Illinois native. The Fighting Illini don't want to miss out on a Frankfort native, one that currently attends Lincoln-Way East High School.

2. Defensive Lineman Tommy Riordan

"Riordan is the younger brother of incoming Hawkeye offensive lineman Gene Riordan. While I think Tommy will take some visits and not just go where his brother goes, Iowa has also built the relationship here through the duration of Gene's recruitment, which has included in-homes and campus visits," Trieu said.
The 6'4'' 240-pound EDGE rusher is yet another Illinois native. Riordan attends Hinsdale Central but only has visits lined up with the Hawkeyes and Wisconsin Badgers. Riordan's visit is also on June 5 as he "wants a chance to meet current players and see how life is like as an Iowa football player."

3. Offensive Tackle Nate Brenneman

The lone Iowa native on this list is the 6'7'' 250-pounder out of Rock Valley. Brenneman is listed as the No. 7 player in the state, according to 247Sports. The website lists Iowa in the "warm" category alongside Kansas and Iowa State.
Trieu credits the Cyclones staff for "making a good attempt there" and it's worth noting he also has a visit lined up with the Jayhawks. To no surprise, he'll be in Iowa City on June 5 on a day that could make or break this Hawkeyes football program.

Looks like Josh Johnson is now a heavy lean to Miami. Really hoping we can still land him.
