We were at the Orange Bowl where he had a great game against Georgia Tech. The years have flown by, I see he has a son playing football in high school.
It is Halliman, who takes his official the June 5 weekend. Johnson from Key West also but Miami and Florida have offered. Watch for official visitors for the June 5 weekend. If Blum and Rairdon visit, that bodes well for the Hawks. Watching for a Theis official also.

It is weird, In Years past if Wilfong gave a prediction on a guy within 48hours the Kid would commit, This Year predictions across the board, just not for Iowa are not followed by many quick commits after. Weird stuff .
Would be huge news, Blum looks every bit as athletic as Hock in HS plus he was 100% going to ISU before Campbell left. I wondered if PSU was going to get involved here and several other schools have offered in the last month. TE room will be absolutely loaded.

He is currently unranked by 247Sports and Rivals, but that is expected to change once both service expand their 2027 rankings to include more prospects. Minnesota has been involved in recruiting many of the other top players from Iowa, such as linebacker Tate Wallace and running back Savion Miller. Clayborne is expected to be ranked among those players by the time the cycle ends next winter.

So he's visiting Minny? Spoiler alert, kids take visits. I'd expect he'll take 5 or 6 visits. Pretty much every recruit does.
A number of these top in-state recruits have not even been offered by IOWA. This includes the current #1 prospect in IA in the class of 2028 - a guy that has received numerous major offers.
The only thing I can think of is these players are known to not be interested in being a Hawkeye for whatever reason..

We got another crystal ball to land top 300 QB Jake Nawrot. Does anyone know why none of our crystal balls have been committed though? It's been a couple of weeks since they were put in but nobody has committed yet.
That kid got a crazy boost on the rival rankings, he is the #2 overall QB in the class according to their rankings.
Where are you seeing the number two overall QB? I see him rated as the 25th.

Rivals industry factors in how the kid is rated on 247 and ESPN as well.
Why no offer to Miller or Wallace from Iowa City? Pretty full at Linebacker, but seems like we could use a RB since we didn't have one in the 2026 class.

This is going to sound like I'm ragging on the kid, but in the two games I saw of Miller, securing the football looks to be an issue.
Those were in the 2025 playoffs.

Would be a big get to have someone so highly rated. Going from Hecklinski, Bassinger, then Nawrot. Lester is really doing whatever he can to improve our QB room.

Still time for him to get more offers, but he’s already got a better offer list than Bessinger. Probably be the best offer list we landed since Deuce Hogan.

It's going to be a small class, so they need to be selective. It will be interesting to see how Miller performs in 5a this year, his defense IMO looks better than his offensive ability.
Perhaps I missed this but just saw this article about this elite IOL, Kyler Kuhn. Seems like a great fit at Iowa (he's also considering Nebbie and Mizzou).
