Apparently, he isn’t worried about oregon’s dwindling enrollment. Surprising. I thought that would be a deal breaker.
Show me the money. You don't think Lanning and the boys are not going to go hard after every recruit that PSU and Oregon have mutual interest in after Kraft's comments about Oregon. 3-0 by my count for Oregon- Db from MD Qb from Utah, Lb from Pa.

If we compliment Oregon do you think they will not recruit as hard vs psu?

That one stings…a lot. In state kid who reportedly had interest in PSU for awhile and goes to powerhouse Prep. Very disappointing.
Aren't we notoriously weak getting guys from St Joe's Prep? This is not good that the #1 LB in PA chooses to go all the way to Oregon but money talks. At an 89 rating on 247 you would think he may not break the NIL bank but Oregon probably had a sweet NIL package for him.

Yes. PSU has struggled to get SJP kids. This kid supposedly had PSU interest earlier in the process. Franklin had a DL from SJP committed last year, who ended up at Syracuse after Franklin was let go. Prior to that, you have to go all the way back to John Reid in 2015 for the last time PSU got a kid from SJP.

Do you think that had anything to do with recruiting against Georgia, clemson, and Ohio state for high 4*s and 5*s?

...after Kraft's comments about Oregon...
Kraft hates Nike, and the feeling is mutual for Nike. Nike owns O-gon fball. Just like Mark Cuban owns Indiana, that weird Florida dude that owns Miami, etc. 'College' football is in full transition mode to ownership by billionaire alums and certain corporations related to sports. We have a large alumni base, but we don't have that billionaire/corporation. Yet.

West Shore Home annual revenue is about $750 million.
Nike annual revenue is about $47 billion.

You need big billionaire entrepreneur types like Cuban and obviously Knight. Pegula fits the bill but not sure how all in he is with PSU football. CEOs of corporations don't have the money to throw around like these billionaire entrepreneur types. Yes, they are extremely wealthy but not like the billionaires. And just because we have a huge alumni base doesn't mean a lot of people will contribute to NIL.
