I thought Tien had a good chance after going up 2-1 then got destroyed in the 4th--going to be an uphill battle for him now

The top 6 women all made the quarters...they need this to happen more often.

The men's draw actually looks like tye women's typically does. If Sasha isn't on the final I'd be shocked. Carlos has a tougher path with Shelton then maybe Tiafoe but I think everyone would be surprised if he didn't also make the final.

Go Jess but I'm happy with anyone winning now for the women.

Like Iva, I'm sure Tien is upset right now. That was a great opportunity for him but part of the learning process. Can't play the 4th the way he did against a vet and expect to win

Here's Ostanpenko walking off the court and howling like a cat in heat at the coaches box of double opponents Chan and Joint LOL! Supposedly there's been some type of feud between her partner, Hsieh, and Chan who are both from Taiwan. Hsieh saying that the Taiwan tennis federation is giving preferential treatment to Chan and her sister.

Ostanpenko also had a beef last year with Taylor Townsend because she did not apologize after a let cord. Who frigging cares, let it go!

I’m not sold on Tien. Experts unanimously it seems believe he’s a star in the making. But again I’m not sold on him.

I dont think he's close to Sinner or Carlos but he's the Americans best hope for a multi-Slam winner IMO. I'm sure others would say Ben...we'll see how Ben looks tonight. Maybe I'm wrong

Yeah I caught a little at the beginning and then the final set. Really thought Sabelenka was going to run a way with it, but in the end Noskova stood toe-to-toe with her. Sabelenka is tough in tie-breaks. Great match.

Okay Michelsen has now completely lost his mind--he's upsetting with the fans now--Tiafoe is rarely even trying to win a rally--just forcing Michelsen to play. I've seen collapses before but I'm pretty sure Alex is ready to just walk off the court

Regarding American men and when will finally win a slam - there's plenty of young talent in Europe these days that's at least as good, if not better, than the young American talent.

I mean, this is as good as chance as any. Sasha is far from unbeatable and Carlos is coming back from a long layoff
The reality is (to me anyway) if your name isn't Sinner or Carlos you're not likely winning a title when both show up so you better take advantage of these.

I'll be very impressed if Shelton can pull off the win tonight. He was lights out in Montreal a month ago.

She indicated she's been working on things and feels better than she has in years. She's still fit even though she's heavier now. I'm guessing she's likely not going to return to what she looked like at 23 but that's true for most of us lol
