He literally didn't take his eyes off the first target in a small space in the endzone. Easy read for defender, didn't even look to his right for second readsI mean, we all see it, right?
Sims has to run the ball as much as possible and you only need 3 pass plays
drag routes
One dude running deep
and roll outs
I think mobility for the QB is important, but if we are running the QB 20 times a game it will be probably be Purdy running it at some point.I disagree.. mobile qb is the key to us winjing 9+
Bingo.. just let him use his legs to big west divisional win.. nice old school NebraskaSims is 5 yards per carry...every time.
The Big Ten defenses, especially in the west, don't have players to stop him running.
Do what works.. don’t play not to get hurt..I think mobility for the QB is important, but if we are running the QB 20 times a game it will be probably be Purdy running it at some point.
Yeah I was thinking we call the timeout there. The mistake wasn’t taking a shot at the TD. It was going hurry-up from the 6-inch line. Use your timeout and you have about a 99% chance of punching that in.
And with only one timeout, if we don’t get in, it’s no points. The mistake wasn’t taking a shot at the TD. It was going hurry-up from the 6-inch line. Use your timeout and you have about a 99% chance of punching that in.
And then we scored easily on that QB sneak. The false start is the real crime here.Dumb pick.
But shouldn't have mattered. I don't know how you can review that and not see TD. His elbow was the first body part down, and when you combine those two angles, the ball clearly broke the plane before any body part touched. I really want to know what they weren't sure about.
Well…kinda
We don't have one receiver on the field that can get open. Lets recruit speed, but not use it.Nothing for Fidone and Kemp is pretty surprising
The real killer no one is taking about is burning the second timeout when people couldn’t get set. If we have two timeouts, the whole situation changesAnd then we scored easily on that QB sneak. The false start is the real crime here.
That is one bright spot. Our Run D has been pretty goodMinny has 15 carries for 39 yards.
That is not a "read"He literally didn't take his eyes off the first target in a small space in the endzone. Easy read for defender, didn't even look to his right for second reads
Injuries are a reality. Such a strategy might "work" in the short term but is irresponsible as the core of your offense that needs to be effective in some way for the entire season.Do what works.. don’t play not to get hurt..
Announcer was saying it too.. rhule gets a D from me so farYeah I was thinking we call the timeout there.
As a GT fan that saw this never progress in 3 years, yeah. He doesnt read defenses whatsoever. He looks good getting off the bus and he runs well but thats where it ends. Oh and you cant run him like this all year. He is the only GT QB to never face UGA because he was hurt 3 years in a row. I fear Geoff Collins made a call to his buddy Rhule and sold him a bill of goods. Was hoping Rhule was smarter. He literally didn't take his eyes off the first target in a small space in the endzone. Easy read for defender, didn't even look to his right for second reads
Exactly what I was thinking.I think Solich shared his offense with Rhule in the spring.
Crouch left, Crouch right, Crouch up the middle.
Oh well. Only 0-3 at the half. Hopefully they come out in the 3 Qtr with some answers.
If he calls a time out and we don't make it, the clock runs out and we don't even kick a FG.A millions times this. Why are our coaches brain dead on what's so obvious to msg board dipshits?
We played very conservative and are down 3 on the road. Agree, we are fine.Only down 3 at the half - I'll take it.
Thanks...As a GT fan that saw this never progress in 3 years, yeah. He doesnt read defenses whatsoever. He looks good getting off the bus and he runs well but thats where it ends. So rhules on the hot seat? Already a failure in your mind? Back to the coaching carousel? I prefer to give the guy time and support. Criticizing everything that doesn’t work out isnt helpful.Stop giving Rhule a pass like he did a great job. We get it Ms Rhule. We get it

Maybe.. probably enough time to clock the ballIf he calls a time out and we don't make it, the clock runs out and we don't even kick a FG.
IF # 57 doesn’t flinch it was 6 pts. I have zero problem with the play calls. #57 screwed up. IT should have never come down to 3rd and 6.The mistake wasn’t taking a shot at the TD. It was going hurry-up from the 6-inch line. Use your timeout and you have about a 99% chance of punching that in.
We ran the ball pretty well on that last drive.Ok I predicted 32-17. We might not score 17 all year.
Yes definitely more like Jammal Lord. Nice runs / bad passing!Someone else said Jammal Lord and I'd go with that after the picks, but Sims looks huge out there running around for 1st downs.
I think Satterfield is making decent calls as the game progresses. But, you got to execute. We ran the ball pretty well on that last drive.
From the six inch line, I’ll take my chances. You really think there was a greater chance of failure using the timeout? Okay…And with only one timeout, if we don’t get in, it’s no points.
ehhh….love the style but I think the rules changes around crack back blocks really hurt how he wanted to run it. Great appreciation for the Nebraska program and hope you guys pull it together. Just very skeptical about Sims being the guy to help yall do it for reasons you have seen in just 30 minutes of football.Thanks...
You guys still hate that PJ retired?
