That was a TD. There was no ambiguity in the replay. The nose of the ball had crossed the plane before his elbow went down. A BS call. 😡

So my criticism so far was that end of half on Satterfield and HCMR with timeouts and getting play in. Than those fn oline penalties.

We're going to have some growing pains. I would have preferred an RPO, but that's just me.

No RPO with 8 seconds left. You tell Sims to look at one target and if that target is not open to just sail the ball out of bounds. Kick the FG and come out with the ball to start 2nd half. Horrible playcall.

Dumb pick.

But shouldn't have mattered. I don't know how you can review that and not see TD. His elbow was the first body part down, and when you combine those two angles, the ball clearly broke the plane before any body part touched. I really want to know what they weren't sure about.

The problem with the review was the camera angle.

You need the camera on the damn line.

Visually the ball looked it was across the line, but with that angle, you can’t be 100%.

Absolutely worthless camera placement. Jmo

The message at halftime has to be: “Fellas, if you’ll stop beating yourselves, you’ll win this game!”

Yards per play 5.75 to 3.8 in the first half. Nebraska playing better overall but killing themselves with penalties and turnovers as usual.

Offense centered around running the QB is not promising for the season outlook, though.

Edit: "Better" is probably the wrong word. "More productively" maybe?

This is literally the last 15 years of Nebraska football and no one has figured out how to correct it. Unfair to ask Rhule to do it in one offseason, but that is the crux of the situation.

Ugh, what a crap show this has been… why not just tie it up at the end of the half? We’re getting the ball back to start the second half! The D still can’t get off the field and our QB seems to have more completions to Minnesota than to our own receivers

Stop giving Rhule a pass like he did a great job. We get it Ms Rhule. We get it

That's an infuriating ending to an otherwise solid half all things considered. I don't know how you miss that he crossed the goalline. It's just atrocious officiating, half the ball was crossed it.

Defense playing well, offense is a work in progress to say the least.

I see us just working some bugs out. IF we make adjustments I like our chances. If not, what you see is what you get.

A lot of football to play. 0-3 there’s plenty of game left.

Let’s see some adjustments and for all that is holy no more TO’s

People mad because it didn’t work…would be the same people mad if we kick fg with 11 seconds left. Or if we run and don’t get in and clock runs out. Sucks sims threw an int. Doesn’t mean it was a coaching mistake
The mistake wasn’t taking a shot at the TD. It was going hurry-up from the 6-inch line. Use your timeout and you have about a 99% chance of punching that in.

Passing game is very concerning but let’s just do what works tonight and go get a W.

I mean, we all see it, right?

Sims has to run the ball as much as possible and you only need 3 pass plays

drag routes
One dude running deep
and roll outs

I think Solich shared his offense with Rhule in the spring.
Crouch left, Crouch right, Crouch up the middle.

Oh well. Only 0-3 at the half. Hopefully they come out in the 3 Qtr with some answers.

A millions times this. Why are our coaches brain dead on what's so obvious to msg board dipshits?
