Wanting to cut out my cable subscription and wondering if others who have done this can share ideas for how to continue watching our cats.

There's always someone on RR streaming the games....hopefully that will continue, but it seems a bit of a crap shoot.
YouTube tv. best there is. unlimited DVR forever 1080p 60 frames per second. have every NCAA game recorded and can replay anytime....zero charges. $40/month. nothing better
I cut my Spectrum cable. Streaming now and saving money. I recommend all do it
This is what I have:
$50 antenna - I get about 25 channels namely ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC for college basketball/football and NFL games
Xbox One - Netflix, YouTube, couple other streaming apps
Amazon Prime - Pretty much any movie anytime
It's much cheaper than what I'd otherwise spend on cable for a bunch of channels I wouldn't watch. I just go to a bar if there's something I don't get like UFC
I remember when I was a kid and me and my cousin mowed lawns for ticket money, then walked to the theater to see Rocky. We wanted to fight somebody all the way home. No way I'm watching UFC at a bar.
I agree here YOutube TV has been very good for me and nice price.
I go playstation vue......... although the bill is up to 60 $ a month now.... when it gets up to 70$ then I'm just gonna cut that and go with Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon....
Seconded. I've tried Vue, Youtube TV, Sling, Hulu, and DTVNow. YouTube TV is by far the best. Vue is really good but expensive for what it is.
If you have a Playstation, I've really liked PS Vue's Core Package. Whole host of sports channels (all the ESPN ones, SEC Network, BIG Ten Network, Gold Channel, MLB Network) for like $49.99 a month.
I ditched Spectrum about 6 months ago and got DirectTV Now. So far it's been good. I chose it over the others because it seems to be the only streaming service with both the Discovery Channel and the History Channel, as well as DVR. You can also use your DirecTV Now login to access streaming content on apps and websites such as WatchESPN.
I have as well. sony Vue been around for years now. I've had them all and youtube TV is far superior in every way.
Highly recommend Youtube TV. It has incredible sports, and a wide array of other good channels that suit my needs perfectly...all for $40. I do have some issues (occasionally blurry picture/pixilating/buffering with watching basketball streamed mostly only on ESPN, but I think it's my older, less capable roku integrating with my tv. I have not had a problem during the tournament. Where it is really neat is being able to watch anywhere on my chromebook (must have access to wifi). I love that versatility. I'm frugal and love a good deal, and am willing to endure some streaming difficulty but also confident I can fix it.
what's your download internet connection speed. I've had zero issues with it. literally zero. smooth as butter zero buffering or pixilation...1920x1080p all day all night 60 frames per second. then again my internet speed is insane fast...350 megabits / second down and 35 up. but you only need like 10 mbit/sec consistently.
I'm trying SlingTV now on a trial and really like them, especially the price. I don't like that they don't offer local channels so I'll have to get an antenna. Does anybody know if you can somehow DVR local channels? The wife has some shows that come on CBS and ABC and will lose her mind if we can't DVR them.
No Discovery ID on Youtube TV, I gotta have my death murder and mayhem channel.
Didnt they just or about to drop a bunch of channels and raising their prices again...I saw a thread of about 1000 people on facebook dropping them now..
Or just pay 10 bucks and get 50 million channels from all over the planet..
Depends on your TV. You could by an additional device like a TIVO if it's not built into the TV already. I have a newer TCL tv and if you plug in a USB stick it automatically records everything on antenna and allows you to rewind live tv as well on antenna
Yall do all of this to save $20 bucks then end up struggling to watch some games. Doesnt seem worth it to me. I could do it in the summer, but not during basketball/football season.
I hate paying it, but I'm with you. Spectrum charges like $70 for internet only, then add $40 for something like YoutubeTV and it's just not worth the hassle.
