That's besides the point. James Wiseman had his shot to go to Kentucky, he milked his decision for all it was worth and made a huge production out of picking Memphis. In the meantime, Cal missed out on other bigtime recruits while waiting on JW to.make up his mind.
Too much time has passed now and Cal has moved on, he will not take a commitment from JW now. Plus, it doesn't matter, Wiseman signed his LOI as was stated earlier in this thread.
Oh, by the way, Cal most certainly has been successful without a dominant center. He went to the title game in 2008 and 2014 without a dominant center on either squad. He also went to the Final Four in 2011 without a dominant center.
Cal's teams are more dependent on great guard play.
