Damnit I can’t believe he did that. Oh well, can’t like him anymore. That roster as it is isn’t any better than Cleveland’s. His finals streak ends this year.

All hail the king. I've never really cared for Lebron, but as a Lakers fan I'm 100% on board. I have always respected his game and his finals win in 2016 moved him to 2nd all time on NBA greatest list IMO.

No way. GP and CP3 got more than that. ESPN does not have this ...yet. And I'll believe it when I see it there or another real source.

Unless Magic can pull a rabbit or two out of a hat to play with him, no way he makes the finals next year. 4-5 seed at best.

It's all over the place now.

I get the draw of LA, but from purely non-basketball angles. Unless they have something else up their sleeve (and now CP3 is firmly with Houston), Lebron won't win another title..

I tend to agree, even as a Lakers fan.

That said, if they acquire Cousins and he stays healthy and they trade Leonard near trade deadline ( and they wont have to give up as much then to do it), they are the only team that is really close to the Warrors. Too many ifs there for me at present though so at present...just nice to be in the playoffs. Lebron makes the Lakers the 4th best team in the West IMO behind GS, Houston and Thunder...maybe better than Thunder.

This is kind of bizarre. Other than being in LA, what the heck is the draw? Could have gotten more money and the team is terrible. Did they tell him about a secret plan to build a super team nobody else knows about yet?

If he does it on his own with no other stars added to the roster, I am totally fine with the move even though he left the Cavs. He has a right to play where he wants.

Having said that, I just don't see him making the move without another star on the way. I could be wrong but I don't think he signs with the Lakers if he didn't know that Kawhi or another star was coming.

They aren't terrible. If not for injuries last year, they probably go about .500 at 41-41 IMO. Adding Lebron is a big jump in wins with him just by himself. And the Lakers are not done FYI...just remains to be seen with who.

This is going to be weird. Lebron in LA. Cue the tape: "Kareem is not walking through that door, Magic is not walking through that door, Shaq is not walking through that door, Kobe is not walking through that door....CP3 and Paul George are not walking through that door, Kyrie is not walking through that door...." I think you're right, he may never see another finals.

I remember thinking about LA versus Cavs last year.. If you take Lebron off the Cavs, they are far worse than what the Lakers are. Lakers become the 3 seed, and I bet quite easily (as far as talent goes, ego's are another thing).

I can't imagine Boston fans right now. Their hated will be through the roof.. Already don't like Lebron.. Now he's on the Lakers. Plus the whole African-American thing..

Good point. LA is a two team city so maybe he’s tired of carrying an entire city/state.

He doesn't need the money. He would rather them surround him with a good supporting cast.

Betting they end up with both. I’d be ok with it.

Boogie would have to get up and down the floor more quickly. Doesn’t quite fit the style-but he could adjust if he wanted to. Would liek to see Kawhi, Boogie and James on the same team-would be a great defensive team.

Who’s going to join him? LA is an awful team without him and still just a mediocre one with him.

He needs at least one more big time guy to join him.

Lebron is doing things his way and people hate him for it. Got his hometown team a trophy, played with friends and got a couple rings, and now he gets to play in L.A. for a storied franchise. Why are people hating on him? Guy is living the dream.

Okay maybe a different lineup minus George then. He's gonna need more than what he's got to beat the GSW.
