it really is, they had a couple of other lucky bounces go their way but PJ could have buried them but he was probably nervous

Plenty of errors to go around, SGA was horrid, not just a bad game but horrid. Gabriel was really bad too. In fact there wasn’t any bright spots other than PJ drawing fouls.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen one player miss 13 FTs in a single game. PJ hustled and kept us in the game tonight, but killed us at the line.
It wasn’t just on PJ. He was banging, grabbing rebounds, blocking, defending. We’re not even in a game without PJ. We’re just getting blown out.
Really bad night at the line for PJ. I feel bad for him. I hope this motivates him to live at the charity stripe this summer.

SGA forced it too much. Gabriel was non factor. One guy misses a bunch of free throws. A bad three point shooting team hits a bunch. Oh well. I'm going to work tomorrow. Life goes on..

PJ was the only one that showed any effort at all . I mean Knox had no FG attempts down the stretch. ZERO. Hard to put this on PJ.

UK had 16 made field goals and 15 turnovers. They went 23/37 from the line. SGA looked lost for most of the night. On the most critical defensive possession of the season they gave up an offensive rebound to team thohad no one taller than 6’3 on the floor. On the ensuing offensive possession, instead of running a real play, they got a fadeaway 3 pointer from Green. Just a bad night all the way around.
He should've been workin on his free throw shooting instead of his mean face.

lol PJ was the only one getting fouled because he was the only one aggressively driving it to the hoop without turning it over.
JV would have been helpful, but his effen hangnail was too sore. Total wuss.

It got us in the bonus and sat their players for long periods, it was the only thing that kept us in the game. So it was a bright spot, drawing fouls and hitting free throws are entirely different things.
Both of those I highlighted above are COACHING, plain and simple. Cal refuses to run offensive sets to help his players, so when a player is struggling (like SGA tonight), Cal does nothing to help him.

Yeah fouls are called when your being aggressive. PJ was. Shai was as well. But he was a turnover machine.
Especially on that last offensive rebound we gave up. Having JV in there, they probably don't get that offensive board.

Occasionally, guys turn the ball over because they are being fouled.
Honestly, with his height advantage, Knox should've been posting up. Then he would've been shooting all the FTs, and he wouldn't missed 10+
