Not calling for a Wildcat victory but that Duke game was pretty interesting if you watched it. It gave me a small tiny fraction of hope where before there was none, that's all. Marcus.

And F Mississippi State.

Im leaving this here just in case anyone was really happy and content with their life and thought the world was a just and decent place. 5 minutes of this duo should get you off your high horse.

Any updates/scuttle on Barker? He for sure done this year...b/c Johnson isn't going to make it the duration imo.

Still think we'd be even better with a much better chance of pulling a few upsets had he been healthy with a chance to get reps/improve over the season, and I don't think it's close.

Stoops just said there is nothing new. Did make some comment that surgery wasn't an option at this point...

So, why don't they say what the injury is?

Pretty obvious he's done for the year.

Midnight Madness > BBM, but I've always been a fan. I think it's fun. I'm not too cool for it like some of you college basketballs. [eyeroll] I actually got a little misty-eyed when they called up the former players. One of them was Larry Pursiful ('62), who is a close friend of the family. I talked to him about it yesterday and he could not stop praising the experience. He said the whole thing was first-class and all of the players were treated like royalty, from the stars to the walk-ons. They weren't just herded up on stage for a photo-op, but rather given the VIP treatment all evening. He didn't say "Cal gets it," but that's what he was getting at. He's not normally one to gush about that sort of thing, or be easily impressed, but I could tell he was genuinely touched (no GYERO).

Speaking of touched (GYERO), the Cubs are unless they find some damn offense. Rizzo has been worthless in the post-season; he's only got one more hit than me. Zobrist, Fowler, and Russell have disappeared. Heyward has been worthless all season. Baez and Bryant are the only ones even close to being serviceable. And I'm sure we'll see Kershaw two more times :scream:. We need to take 2 of 3 in LA and that will be a major chore the way it's looking. The Cubs are in serious jeopardy of not seeing Wrigley again.

We're not going to a bowl. Just stop it.

The only hope that came out of that game was the fact that maybe the Cards will only score 50 instead of 70. Gonna be fugly, as will UGA and Vol games.

Adrian…Johnson replacing Barker was the best thing that happened to the season, because it forced the overpaid genius to use his best players…the running backs. Otherwise, he is still trying to play some wack set w/ more of the Brown/Dawson fubars of prior seasons. Learn ground game and ball control. #football #blockK

Chad...go drop $80 and go to Off Broadway and get some yesteryear Cole Haan's....much better than those Dr. Scholl's you were wearing in that pic. Nice suit, though....Kohls? And drop that tie to the top of the buckle. Sheesh. Miss your locks, though.

#Sprinkles and miss you loving dudes tailgating. #hugs

-Anth is correct at LOL'ing at this sudden interest in tailgating. It's been a light crowd most of the season. However, I will say I knew this Miss St game would be the big one with the small chance we still have at making this season not completely craptas.

One of my gyero pet peeves. You brought Anth into gyero, damn well knowing he would suck and not fit in. Then he gets harassed for his terrible takes, and here comes his Hen to take up for him. ********.

And Anth and sloot do dinner club because that is what Chevy Chase says is cool.

Read on another board that the girl was coming home from a track meet out of town. Have no idea if that's accurate.

-Looking at that picture reminds me, the ramps at CW are a dark, seedy, greasy place during halftime. TS.

-New mom's travel with 150lbs of luggage... minimum. She tried to take our blinds for a Louisville visit.

-We are going to need something out of the passing game if we plan on making a bowl. We're not beating UL. Playing Texas in Memphis is intriguing but I still think we finish with 5 wins. Groundhog Day.

-I was in GYERO for 6 months before waxing WS. The dinners are not fancy at all, as far from that as you can imagine. You live in f*cking prospect, the most uppity area in the state, and I doubt a track meet ended at 3a.

-Obviously my experience was different than several others but most of my friends were required to check in by 11-1 and we weren't out running around late unless there was a major plan in place so we all got out of curfew. Had a couple buddies that had cool parents and we mostly partied at those houses and just stayed there.

Can't tell y'all how glad I am D'aaron (sp) Fox didn't shave his hair. Dude has amazing locks. Brandon Knight did himself a disservice by cropping his when he got on campus.

Who's the last UK dude to wear a headband? Remember that being a big deal when tubby was here. Like he had a rule against it or something? Parents am I right

Speaking of parents it took Facebook approx 9 minutes to politicize trinity gays death. F*cking facebook. That's why I basically stick to posting pictures of my kids. What a bunch of losers over there on Facebook. And I know Mark Zuckerberg is reading this. F*ck you mark.

Speaking of f*cking, 24k Magic by Bruno Mars is magical . He has done it again. Can't stop listening. Don't think any of the guys took my advice and used it for their intro at Madness. Sounded like everyone was using a recording of a BLM protest set to some ****** soulja boy track. Missed opportunity.

Kenzie found my Twitter account and read through it last week. She was pretty disappointed in me. Got a good lecturing about using the word p*ssy and stuff. Apparently that's a bad look for redneck idiot loser subcontractors like myself.

Think the last one of the Sunday night dinners I went to Anth made a rib roast, which is kind of fancy...

We had a chili cookoff one time, which was a draw from what I remember...although mine was clearly better.

Despite the cult implications, there was no chanting or anything too weird. Just the schems pretending to be normal people.

The only way I was out at 3am at 15 was if we were having a sleepover.

The report I read said "out of town track meet". Have no idea to its validity.

And I agree, I was never out at 3am at 15. If your parents allowed that, they not only were terrible parents, they apparently didn't like you as a child either.

The line on the amount of times me & the redasses we sit around say in the 1st half "had 2 weeks to rest/prepare & we look like complete ISH!" during the 1st half: 37.5

Did Purdue fire their coach ASAP to hire Miles before UK did? surprisingly this is a wildly accepted theory.

Stoops is damn tight lip on injury stuff, always has been. wont even admit some guys on crutches in Kobe Walker & Laster are hurt, just are "out". So zero surprise he has not gone into exactly what anatomically is wrong with Barker's back.

If USC, Texas and Oregon are hiring coaches I'm thinking Les can wait around and pick up a nice 2nd tier low stress gig like his boy Richt'r.

Can't imagine coaching at Purdue. That really may be the worst job in the country. Absolutely nothing appealing about it. No support, no facilities, middle of the worst state in the country. The name Purdue just sounds boring. Say it, you'll fall asleep.

I can only think of a few times in high school that I was out at 3am, and they were during sleepovers. Two of the times were in Hunting Creek and Anchorage, so not a lot of shooting risk there. Another time was on Larchmont down by Taylor Blvd. We played football over at Frayser Elementary, which was fine, but then decided that the Pic-Pac down the street would be a cool place to hang out in the middle of the night. That definitely could've ended in a shooting, but I guess we were too imposing to be messed with.

When I was 15 my buddies and I camped out one night in front of Freedom Hall for WCW Monday Nitro tickets. That's in the top 3 dumbest things I've ever done in my life, and honestly I believe is the source for my BBM camper disdain.

Spending 12 hours on a sidewalk overnight with the people you'd imagine might camp out for Monday Nitro tickets cured me of many dumb ideas that would later come across my desk in high school & college. Pretty sure that's why my parents were okay with it tbh.

I can still see, was awake because of his snoring, Bonzo stumbling out of bed, stumble a little before the bathroom door and the fall like he'd just been shot. BOOM!!! I thought he was dead or had a broken neck. Guess it has been seven years today.

Speaking of racists, LOL at UKO and his constant FB posts about "America's Team" his Dallas Cowboys!!!

...dude was the biggest Romo homer ever, and how his boy Dak, who he'd hate for any other team, is apparently his main man.

What a clown.

I can't handle Bruno Mars and his resurrection of early 80s funky hiphop or whatever the hell he keeps doing. Knock it off.

Safe to say B Rax has the worst musical taste in GYERO.

Knox: Speaking of Knox, I haven't touched base with anyone close to his recruitment but I do know UK expects to be in the thick of things for the duration of his recruitment. It will be a tough recruitment with Duke, UNC and Florida State, but the Cats made up ground very quickly and I believe are in his top two.

This will also be a long recruitment so plenty of time for things to change, for better or worse.

Now that JROW is starting to do his own CBB recruiting articles, I wonder how long he's going to put up with ^^^ coming from the board's 'basketball insider'. I'd normally worry about copy/pasting premium content but there's absolutely nothing premium with 97% of his posts, including the above tidbit.

The Cowboys are pretty good this year and are going to eff it up when the owner forces them to go back to Tony Romo for the playoff push. it's gonna be fun to watch though.

A few randoms:

--- Hearing great things about the UK Basketball recruiting weekend. Cal has 8 top targets for 2016 (Young, Knox, Bamba, Green, Richards, Washington, Petty and I am unsure who the other is) and I am told he feels really good about getting 5 of them. That would be a monster class. Washington is virtually a lock I think.

--- Confidence is high around the facility in football world...usually that is a bad sign as every time I have been told that, a loss has been soon to follow. But they feel very good about the Defense and the running game. The issue is Johnson and whether he can throw, which has been the focus of the last two weeks. The schedule has certainly opened up though and getting the Missouri game at noon, gives an even better chance for the random upset (if it is even an upset)

--- Having the 96 team mad at me was not something I expected as I entered my weekend on Friday. I apparently am the topic of their "96 team group text" as they are mad about my comments on radio concerning the complaining about treatment/Calipari's coaching by a couple of the members of the team. I apologized to Walt and Nazr on the phone but at least in McCarty's case it apparently still wasn't enough. It continues to amaze me how players (in this case two in particular) who have no problem going on Louisville radio shows and blasting the current coach of Kentucky for not being as good a coach as Pitino can then get upset when given the most timid criticism of them. But alas, I now have my favorite team of all time for the most part collectively hating me. Not ideal

--- Trump is going to win Kentucky by a huge margin but the other Kentucky races are closer than people thought they would be. I have seen both GOP and Dem polling of Barr/Kemper and Gray/Paul and both are closer than they probably should be. Barr is going to win but he has had to spend some money as the margin has only been 8 or so in most polls. Paul is going to win as well but Gray actually made what was once a 20 point deficit about 8-10 now...he is outperforming Clinton statewide by 10 points, which is actually fairly impressive. I have never seen a phenomenon like how popular Trump is in Eastern Kentucky. He is going to win some of those counties by 50-60 points, while losing Lexington by 10-15. Bizarre election and showcases how different this state is based on region.

--- Go watch "13th" on Netflix. I think everyone here would like it, regardless of your political affiliation. Very enlightening, even with the couple of parts I would have a quibble with.

--- Captain Suntan had to settle his lawsuit with Scott Jennings by paying money and apologizing, which I kind of love. I am petty at times, even though I know I shouldn't be

--- Saturday night is going to be a great atmosphere I believe. It is the one big game on the schedule and if the Cats win, they may get another in Georgia. Obviously the game is huge for Stoops but it is also huge for the fan base....lose and I think all check out, even if a Missouri wins follows.

--- I love doing my tv show but there is one downside...everywhere in the WLEX building plays their programming all day...which means while I am writing the show, Harry Connick Jr's show is blasting in the background. I hate it worse than anything this side of Reba McEntire's music. It is so awful that I get excited when Ellen comes on, just so Harry will go off. If there are more than 5 people who enjoy that show nationwide, I will be shocked. I hope none of you are ever subjected to it.

That is all

Reading any thread but GYERO is a mistake and will make you hate our fanbase tbh

I went to the UK-UT game back when we had Anthony Davis and those guys (remember those guys?) in Knoxville because that's where my brother lives. My wife, who is not from Kentucky and doesn't have an accent, was there for her first ever UK game and interaction with Kentucky fans. There was a group of 6 UK fans right behind us (actually the arena was about 60% UK fans) and they had the strongest accents I had ever heard, could barely even understand them, and they kept shouting incoherent things about the refs for about 75% of the game. Nothing wrong with it or anything, but every now and then I remember that outside of UK sports fandom I have nothing in common with 95% of our fanbase.

On that note, I am making my annual get together with my UK buddies this coming weekend. Driving down from O-H-I-O to Lexington on Thursday night and staying until Sunday. Keeneland on Friday, might even check out a tailgate on Saturday. :cool2: Can't wait. Nothing better than getting trashed and reminiscing with the boys.

Has to be Diallo or Walker. That's about the only hole- 2G, although Petty is also a 2.
