The 1996 team has basically become the living effigy of Pitino's entire tenure at UK, and those guys are all more loyal to him than UK so I understand the defensiveness. It also doesn't surprise me that they started getting chesty & butthurt around the same time we were chasing 40-0 with a Calipari-led team, either. That probably didn't help.

Wish they could just drop it and calm TF down, honestly. However, given the Pitino influence I truly believe that they never will.

Qualifying the apology didn't help. I kept wanting you to stop justifying your position. Just need to fall on the sword with those guys specifically the ones who weren't critical of Cal. After all the stuff you've said about Pitino i get it. Losing battle so just take the high road if you care about mending the relationships.

The Young updates seem to indicate he's pretty well locked in but apparently he doesn't get along with Green at all. Not a big deal since Green is going to Cuse. That's the only scuttle I heard all weekend.

Me saying stuff about Pitino has zero to do with any of this. I took the high road in my comments on the website and on the radio show. That apparently wasn't enough. There isn't much else I can do. Either way, it doesn't change how awesome that team was.

Young is apparently a player that other guys don't love playing with...but I don't think it will make a huge bit of difference either way

Just picked up my new Guinness. Good news, y'all. These dudes are still holding down the record:

I think the twin on the left has the other one by a few lbs.

Jalen Whitlow had the highest QB rating of the Stoops era (99.5), and I'd argue he was the worst QB...by far.

+ fingernails dude, ftw.

The whole 96 bitchfest reeks of Pitino narcissism. That and the fact Shep's stupid *** business idea of the UK VS VILLIANS game failed. Shep also has or had an athlete promo entity where he set up autograph tours. Think he wanted Cal to funnel our players to him and it didn't happen where Pitino set up UL player autograph tours through Shep.

Mags...

We're all family here in GYERO just come out and say the 3 culprits are Meals, Anderson and Shep.

Meals fatass lives in Lexington and he couldn't attend?

It's time to get serious about life, Matt.
Yeah, that is a downside. Apologizing for ****. Kind of like forgetting to invite them on a Las Vegas group trip?

I don't Jones is wrong, which sucks, but if he wants to fix the issue I'd imagine he's going to have to kiss their ***. That's up to him. Apologizing when you're right sucks and happens all the time in marriage.

Just like the players are loyal to Pitino more than the program, I'm more loyal to the program than players of the past and wouldn't GAF if some of them were made at me because I called their buddy out for talking bad about the current coach/program, no matter what I thought of them when I was 12.

Meh I'll keep my childhood heroes on a pedestal at least until they commit fraud or petty theft. ALTHOUGH I LIKE CAL TWO!

Speaking of touched (GYERO), the Cubs are unless they find some damn offense.

Kershaw was locked in, man. Mantle would've went 0-fer.

Regarding the Cubs offense, I posted the same thing about LA's Saturday night.

Guess as long as they dont leave Gonzales on the tarmac, there's some hope.

Oftentimes, I see Marcus Spears listening to Greg McElroy talk, and it appears that Spears is thinking "what a p*ssy. I wish he would just shut up."

And for the record, I like McElroy. But he might not be easy to work with every day.

You can be married and not let your old lady run everything, lots of us do it.
Come out for drinks one night with me, bbdk and sae. Three " kings of their castles".
No thank you. Wouldn't want to be seen associating with you 3 at once. I'll stick with my more civilized primary crew.
