Bevin is a huge UL fan. So is McConnell. So there's that.
But at least he had the nads enough to do something.
If there is one person who could make this bad situation worse, it's Matt Bevin.
Nope, they will admit nothing of the sort. A hog can't smell their own filth!I wonder if Louisville fans will admit just how corrupt their University is now when they spout that most profitable bull. So damn profitable the Government had to fire your board of trustees and your president.
Love your pictureIt may serve two purposes. One, good publicity for cleaning up and, two, set up some more positions for cronies.
I'm going to wait a while before I make a decision on this one.
I'm not here with you on this yet but it absolutely happen..... Jurich will be next to move on. The Bevin President and board will not be so "Win at all costs" in athletics. Will be focused on academics.
I honestly have no idea if this is correct but he's not starting off well. He hired an ex ul basketball player to be in charge of the Chum Bucket. That looks wrong to me.That is stupid. Actually he is perfectly suited to do what NO ONE from previous administrations had the courage to do.
What animal is on his nappy noggin?I invited Ramsey over to my house to discuss the whole thing but he didn't want to comb over.

If he is indicted, he better have his money in other places than the Caymans or Switzerland if he intends to keep it.Question?
Does Ramsey ever come back to the U.S. Or does he avoid any prosecution and extradition by remaining overseas and living off his likely enormous Swiss or Cayman bank account?
nah. The final candidates will have it "explained" to them how we do it around here, meaning athletics is very important to the culture of Louisville and despite a couple of hiccups we want you to know just how important both Tom Jurich and Rick Pitino are to this city and state, and can you assure us that if you get this job you'll be able to work with those two fine men?...If they hire from within this means absolutely nothing. If they do a genuine nationwide search then Pitino (and possibly Jurich's) days are numbered.
hahahaha wow, the board members were NOT notified until the announcement. Having worked with UK board members and kind of knowing the type, I bet they went totally apoplectic.
LOL, Matt Jones was right, they waited till he went on vacation to make the announcement.

Not aware of the legality of this move - I assume the entire Board serves at the pleasure and discretion of the governor, and that he can fie them all at once if he decides to do so. Still, knowing the egos typically present on this kind of board - and especially given the politicized nature/persona of the Bevin administration to date - won't surprise me in the least if some of these board members threaten legal action. Even if it's likely fruitless....hahahaha wow, the board members were NOT notified until the announcement. Firing crooks is a bad thing? That's bizarre logic. Is that you Barry?
where is that quote from - who said it?"yes, i'm concerned about how this will affect the university as a whole, but i'm also very concerned about how Tom Jurich and Coach Pitino will accept it."

oh wow.....
question is, will Ramsey be taking the fall, or is it as @TheKentuckyKid says: Dominos?
stay tuned folks!
How exactly are the UofL Board of Trustees "crooks" ?Firing crooks is a bad thing? That's bizarre logic. Is that you Barry?

What's that? Replace a group of corrupt individuals with a separate group of corrupt individuals that are close friends with him? If so, I agree. Bevin is perfectly suited to do this.
Finally the sewer cleaning begins..I think some of us have been saying for quite a while that this was going to happen. I am not a bit shocked that this happened today.
Give credit where credit is due: Gov. Bevin drops an a-bomb on the UofL administration, sacking Ramsay and castrating the board in one fell swoop. Beshear didn't have the balls to do this.
He has not replaced anyone yet. Why not wait and see. He is to be provided a list of 30 names and from that list he will select 10. You should wait before shooting off your mouth further.
