Watched Naked and Afraid last night. That show just baffles me. Sounds pretty much completely miserable, not sure why anyone would really volunteer to do that. So the pair last night was a former green beret, who was quite well prepared to handle the situation. The chick, not really sure she contributed much. They ate grubs, snake, catfish, and a tape worm infested cayman.

They survive the 21 days, then do a follow up, and both got Leishmaniasis. His ear is totally jacked up, and she had just had multiple excisions. Months and months of antibiotics still to go. Awesome.

Could see this possibly appealing to Adam or Pti, but that's really about it.
Dude, you and your friends waterboarded each other on Friday nights for fun and you are complaining about a guy showing up naked to meet a rando girl for 3 weeks?
AND we all know its on your DVR right now to watch again, you horny SOB.

It's not really the same thing. We were stuck over there, so a little experimental interrogation practice isn't quite the same as committing to 21 days of naked survival.

And for the record, most of all those chicks I've seen on that show are nasty.

- Tommy/Will ticket. Wouldn't win...but it would be a blast. Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail

- Art History is probably the class I use the most out of the ******** classes. Love hitting local art gallaries and pretending to sound intelligent. Underrated date activity too...free, you seem cultured, alone time, etc.

- Still crushing NE. Best career move I could have made. Currently sitting at Horseman's Park, bloody mary in hand, betting the ponies, about to give a speech on tax benefits of putting a casino here.

- On the road tonight through Monday in random counties, then Chicago for a week on Tuesday.

- What an awful Chicago take by UKO. There are very few places you can't walk in Chicago. Basically the entire 3/4 of the Northern part of the city.

- Surprised I haven't run into Chief this week at the Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting.

Cal is in a good mood. We get Bolden, just waiting on the schollie to open from Lee or Briscoe, hopefully Lee, as we need Briscoe.

Well, Andrew Slater of Duke just changed his pick for Bolden to UK as did another guy right before Andrew.

I seriously am ready to party in the streets of Lexington again. Gotta get 9.

3 people have changed their pick from to Duke to UK in the last 2 hours including Adam Rowe, noted Duke Insider (who writes for "Duke Insider").

It probably means nothing, but I mean, it has to mean something.

Ridiculous. Don't be a slub and give up at 46. For Christ sakes Cawood you don't even have kids. "earned it." SMH.

How hard is it to wear a polo/gingham+khakis/jeans+loafers?
Please, hybrid board shorts(look like regular shorts, khakis of different colors), a long sleeve dri fit shirt and flops...everyday FTW.

Although, every time I go home it makes me miss the gals all dressed up in what is normal everyday attire in KY.

I don't know AF about plants, flowers, or whatever, but love our Hostas. Those things are warriors I guess.

Has to be the lowest maintenance decorative plant there is? My horrible dogs can't even hold those suckers down, pretty sure they'll still be around 100 years from now.

I haven't done **** to care for them really other than water them every now and then when I remember...and it's like one day you come home and boom, there they are out of nowhere. Year after year.

Are these around the above ground pool? Seems like that might class it up a bit.

God help you the day you have to split them. At some point, they'll likely get too large for their space and you'll need to. They have the root system from hell. They do transplant very well though.

- Our above ground pool is 80% in ground, fwiw. I prefer to call in a berm-pool. :sunglasses: Pretty much an 'above ground' pool set flush into the ground, which is pretty stupid for the the money the previous owners spent when you factor in the composite decking, which is outrageous. We're only mid-trash. Please direct all future bashing of our home to my trashy wife, thx.

-We aren't splitting ****.

Actually went to see a house today in Hardwood Forest where her parents live, and Anth's formerly. Beautiful neighborhood with mostly sick homes, but so far away from anything.

...but it was a short sale, and about 100-150K under appraised value. 3500 sq foot, walkout, in ground pool, huge lot. Hit the market yesterday, and there were showings all day long, had to wait an hour to get in w/ my realtor. The agents outside were cracking up as we waited, so I knew that wasn't good.

My God. I'm quite aware of foreclosure situations, and knew it would likely need tons of work -- but this wasn't a sabotage type deal -- this home could have been featured on TLC's Hoarders show -- it was unlike anything I've ever seen, felt embarrassed even being in there. Beautiful home on the outside, but I still can't get over what was going on inside. Really depressing, and the poor owner was just like "never mind the clutter". It was surreal.

The kwaaad marcus welby have been staged (as is) by some hollywood reality show compared to this place. I'm not exaggerating when I say this place could be on TLC, especially when you take into consideration it's a very nice Brick Dwelling built in '94. I mean, that's pretty 'new', really...

There were 15 garbage bags filled with **** in the LIVING ROOM, and the daughter (I assume) had just put out a cigarette in an ashtray on the coffee table..and this is in between about 10 consecutive showings.

The owner has obviously given up on a once-good life, but it was still a very bizarre experience. I assumed the bank would be in charge at this point, but I guess not. He was the one showing the property.

I've been in and around real estate my entire career in some form, and this was a new one for me, at least in a neighborhood/home like this.

Was called in to one in Persimmon Ridge last year that was beyond effed. Mold growing on everything.

The son had locked himself out so he had busted the windows out in the basement.

Guy just acted as if he lived in a totally normal situation.

The disgusting conditions that people live in was really eye opening for me.

Has quite a few up for sale in my neighborhood not too long ago. I only see two on the market now. Both around 300k but need serious updating.

How many final fours would Cal rake in if he stayed for 20 years?

Hostas suck and are gross. Of course Adrian likes them. Learn dianthus.

Bucket - idk how you guys do it. The job I messaged you about is disgusting. Old moldy shrimp and lobster all over the place. No clue how the guys aren't vomiting non stop. Awful.

Lexington market is crazy. Had a realtor contact me yesterday to see if I'd be willing to sell and I'm not even listed. Someone just wanted a house in the neighborhood that fit their specs and on a drive by, they liked mine the best. Told him I would let him know in a few days as I may be switching jobs/cities but don't know for sure yet.

How do people (Anth's mom for example on this house, which is about 30 houses down from them) know so much detail about every house in the neighborhood? They knew everything about the last 2 houses we looked at out there as well, almost as if they were the listing agent.

I don't know **** about my neighbors houses other than what I can see from the street and form my own bias and judgments on -- never have, never will I assume...I mean, I understand knowing your neighborhood in general (keeping up with sales, etc) when it comes to where you stand on your home's value, but I guess I am just too indifferent to other people to know anything more than that.

Learn hens looking at MLS and Zillow.

Yep even as you're planning a complete remodel of a house you just bought, look up air one on the Zillow.
