No love for The Pelican ? Good burgers and breakfast. Always preferred Willow Pond over Katfish Kitchen. Loved Mary Majors. Black folks cooking, fried chicken was really good.

Noticed Panama Jack shirts, but no mention of OP (Ocean Pacific), got a new one weekly in the ole Parkway Plaza Mall. Loved it when the poors would come to school wearing Garan (Roses knockoff Izod), and Fox (Jacque Pnea) knock off. I was a poor, but damn sure wasn't rocking no Roses dept store ****. Calvin Klein jeans, Izod gator shirt or OP t-shirt with Nike Cortez.

There were some Big Willy shirts that were just like Big Johnson. I gave one to my HS gf, who wore it proudly.

My gawd her Dad hated that shirt. [thumb2]

My parents rolled their eyes at me when I bought those Big Johnson shirts on vacation...The only shirt they ever really put their foot down on was the Trix rabbit silly gaffot shirt...

In a parallel universe Bob was born in Clay County and doesn't drive a Porsche, but rather a jacked up diesel truck with a "I'd Rather be CUMMINS than STROKIN'!" windshield sticker. Big Johnson t-shirts remain intact in both universes

When I was 12 or 13, one of my older cousins handed down a garbage bag full of old frat and otherwise inappropriate clothes. It was a treasure trove.

Another cousin and I had a "draft" and went through the whole bag.

I scored a bright red "**** HAPPENS." shirt that I wore through college. When I showed it off to my dad on the deck, he said, "Wow, Joe. That's a nice one. You can wear that one to school," in an effort to troll his sister-in-laws.

One of them bit, in a huff:

"Well in the Middletown school district he would be sent home immediately with that shirt!"

Been wanting to head to Traverse and take my clubs for a long weekend of golf with some friends. Looks incredible.

Michigan also has those soothing commercials on the radio narrated by Tim Allen, which shouldn't be overlooked. Like a caramel cream on the ole eardrums those commercials are.

The Pelican is awful, even an 8-16 year old BBdK knew that, and we ate there 20x per summer for breakfast.

Please do the opposite of what catsfagbgky says and you should be fine.


-Which is worse, '73's Michigan slobbing or SAE's SC slobbing? I'm sure Michigan is great in parts for obvious reasons, but at least SC has beaches (on the ocean), climate, Hilton Head/Charleston/etc -- and feels like a 'vacation spot'.

Michigan is where you vacation if you have relatives there and want to see a few sights along the way. SC is where you vacation on PURPOSE when you don't want to fly.

Chicago is a great town but it's almost May and people are wearing winter gear in the afternoon. Could not live there.
