Hope your new neighbors are less crazy...will she be coming with you???
Ha. I'm 99% sure she's an escort. I honestly looked on craigslist one day to see if she was on there. There's a different car at her house almost every night, except when she has her daughter staying with her. Could just be working Tinder on a daily basis, I guess. Also was post-call one day, and she came home on her lunch break… some guy pulled in her driveway after her, and about 45 minutes later I hear tires squealing as they both peel out, I assume to get back to their jobs on time. Super friendly, but completely crazy.

Have to think UNC skating isn't the best of news for Louisville. The current uproar that the NCAA has lost its "punch" will force aggressive action against the birds to show they still can go 15 rounds.

Not sure about that. I think the NCAA has essentially given up on serious enforcement. I think they drag their feet to slow your program down while under investigation, but ultimately do very little in the end. All bark and no bite. Everyone should be cheating right now, unless you're a non revenue generating sport.

How bad is it going to be when Mitchell's indiscretions come to light? Hopefully bad enough to pay the next coach way less than a million per year

false, UL has issued out all the discipline necessary. Chuck Missing An A Smrt worked hand-in-hand with NCAA investigators (on the down-low) and advised El Presidente Ramsey & HOFADTomma of the perfectly appropriate punishment for the particulars of this case.

it is done, Rick didnt know, finished, the wrists have been slapped, Rick didn't know, no more new damaging information will come out, all over but the NCAA giving the almost assured OK that no more sanctions are needed. full speed ahead to the 2017 Final Four under HOFCRP!!! (and Rick still didnt know, did we make that clear?)

I mean, 6 player transfers in a year and now an assistant leaving? This has got to be juicy.

Some schools are pussies to the NCAA and get slammed. Others fight like UNC and get off. I think when you are involved in a situation that is egregious as UNC then you have to fight it because if you don't then you'll get the hammer. They fought and won.

As for UL I am not sure. Jones keeps saying another coach on the staff is going to get fired but that shoe has yet to drop. I still think their one season ban and the frivolous recruiting bans will be all they get.

I almost think that the UNC mess was too massive for the NCAA to comprehend or deal with. You're talking about a complete and systemic undermining of everything a university is supposed to stand for. UNC may avoid traditional penalties for this crap, but they'll never wash the stink of it off of them. "The Carolina Way" is dead forever.

A NCAA spokesperson needs to publicly address what changed from the first NOA to the most recent to redact previous infractions as the additional info that was provided by UNC involved Soccer and Golf I believe.

Tuesday Randoms:

- This southeast Ohio family massacre is so interesting. Cops have discovered a marijuana-growing operation along with a cock-fighting ring. Pure Appalachia.

- Hit up Jungle Jims Saturday courtesy of a gift card from Christmas. Man, the obese sure love that place. Much different than the talented clientele I see weekly at Kroger/Fresh Thyme. Not a grocery guy in the least, but that place is pretty amazing- for beer selection alone. Picked up a Gino's East frozen pizza that was really good (among a **** ton of other things).

- I'd love UNC to get whacked but I've said from the beginning that their ruined reputation is punishment enough for me. They're a fraud and everyone knows it now.

- I watched a handful of episodes of "Veep" a few years back and found it to be all right. Am I missing out? Seems like a cult hit.

- Those Sand Snakes, tho. :fire:

- Seems pretty obvious to me that Bolden is waiting to see what Lee does. I don't understand how anyone could see it any other way at this point.

- In a preposterous sports world there is nothing more preposterous than college football recruiting. The idea of "commitments" and such is pretty ridiculous, to the point where following it at all pisses me off. "I am completely committed to Kentucky! But much love to Card nation and my latest scholarship offer! Excited for my visit!" :(

- UK 2017 recruiting appears this way to me at this point:

PG-

Cal is as close to ALL-IN as can be with Trae Young. I would be shocked if he goes elsewhere. Also think his pitch as a Ulis/Knight hybrid makes since. He's a savvier playmaker than Knight and a more explosive scorer than Ulis. Obviously, would be hard to be as good as either.

Wings-

Knox- UK's in the mix but sounds like Duke will be tough to beat, smooth pure 3-man

Trent Jr.- pure shooter, but again, sounds like a Duke lean

Diallo- Cal's been on this dude for awhile and he has blown up; Duke trying to get in but sounds like a Calipari kid; UConn has been on him a longtime; Archie Goodwin-type 2G with freaky athleticism and ability to get to the tin; would be a great complement to Young

Petty- has struggled a bit, but loves Kentucky and is a 6'7" wing with great athleticism and a decent shot

Porter, Jr.- elite talent; freak athlete; terrific shooter; perfect college combo forward; we land this package with Young, everything can just build around those two; Kansas and Washington appear to be competition

Washington- blowing up and likes UK a lot, we probably lead

Vanderbilt- kind of a MKG/Jones hybrid; one of those forwards who can guard multiple positions, clean the glass and lead the break; UK right-there

Bigs-

Richards- sounds like close to a lock; big, athletic with upside

Bamba- absolute freak with 7'8" wingspan; already a defensive centerpiece and outstanding rebounder with developing offensive repertoire; going to be a fist-fight with Duke

Carter- UK, Duke and Harvard with Duke the team to beat; polished low-block scorer

- ESPN's Final Class of 2016 Rankings are here. Notes:

* This is a LOADED class and UK has three of the Top 9, four of the Top 14 and five of the Top 24. Plus, Bolden is sitting at #16.

* Starting to think Monk will be our best freshmen. Much more polished game than I first thought.

* Wonder if Quentin Goodin will end up being one of those Xavier steals. Thoughts from people familiar with KY HS basketball?

* This class is so good that you have absolute STUDs like Ferguson (#11), Isaac (#12) and Andrew Jones (#30) on down the line a bit.

* Harvard with FOUR- count'em- FOUR Top 100 recruits. Wonder if this will become a trend- good-not-great recruits going the Ivy route. Seems more than ever, these black kids are valuing education or at least, the prestige of the school's reputation. I honestly think Duke benefits a lot from this, as well.

St. Matthews Fresh Thyme opens this weekend in the old Liquor Barn. Is it any different than Whole Foods/Fresh Market...lower price point?

Caught the first episode of "The Night Manager," was pretty good. Looking forward to tonight's episode. House should make a fantastic villain.

Silicon Valley is just awesome. RIGBY [laughing]

Tried watching the new season of Turn, but the lassie has soured on it. Bitched the whole time, kind of ruined it for me.

Coba is closing??

That place cost like $10 million to build, right? For a Mexican joint??

The Fresh Market by me is just awful. Service is off the charts terrible. I really thought the premise was to be a more upscale/pricey grocery store, but when it's run by incompetent lazy hood rats, that sort of undermines their whole alleged value system.

Young/Scruggs/Diallo/Petty/Porter/Richards/Washington

Think Cal takes two point guards. Young being the top priority, obviously, but he's clearly looking at bringing in two ballhandlers. Also think Sacha/Wenyen/Humphries are all back for 2017-18, so only one big is needed in this class.

They went all in on Coba at the end of 2015 to see if they could get it going but nothing came of it. I don't think there's much else they can do with that building but they own the land so I guess they could always tear it down and expand the strip malls that were next to it.

I thought the Night Manager was dope...pretty fast-moving, which I guess it has to be with 6 episodes.

-Beyoncé is annoying, and I don't like most of her music -- but, I DID check out the first 3-4 songs on the visual movie, just to see her going HAM on Jay after Twitter pretty much broke on Saturday night. Pretty dope, imo -- ***** was acting crazy. Can't imagine he's too happy about it, guess that's his punishment.

-Never went to Coba, but the menu was boring AF for all the buildup about it being different. Rosie's Cantina ftw.

Coba's problem wasn't that the food was BAD. Coba's problem was that the food wasn't good enough for it to become a destination-level restaurant. And when you pour that much $$$ into a place, it better become a destination-level place.

Plus, didn't they charge for chips and salsa? That's wack.

I asked if we could get some of the jelly fish as pets, no official word yet but I did get a roll eyes and was told I'm dumb. Still holding out.
