What amazes me about Meyer and his crazy Crystal Ball is he has such a lead for Duke at almost 70% to 27% for UK. If this was such a huge Advantage for Duke they had the open scholarship for almost 2 weeks since Thornton was transferring. Why hasn't Bolden already committed to Duke since they had their scholarship for almost 2 weeks for Bolden. We are now seeing that Marcus Lee is now saying that he intends to stay in the NBA Draft which would open that needed scholarship for Bolden to commit to UK. Everyone keeps saying he is so torn between UK and Duke and I believe that he could be but I also believe that he is waiting on the open scholarship for Kentucky. We have now been hearing that Marcus Lee is saying in the Press today that he does intend to stay in the NBA Draft this year and has discussed this decision with Coach Cal. To me it all makes sense that all along Bolden has been waiting for that Open Scholarship to happen at Kentucky. I mean if he was 100% set on Duke they made room for Bolden almost 2 weeks ago when Thornton decided to transfer. If Bolden was all sold on Duke he would had already made his committment to Duke. I believe the longer he waits Bolden is waiting for Marcus Lee or Briscoe to announce they are staying in the NBA Draft to open the scholarship for him at Kentucky. Marcus Lee said in the Press today his intentions were to stay in the NBA Draft.
The crystal ball doesn't mean Jerry Meyer thinks that Duke has a 70/30 chance of landing Bolden.
It means that those who have been asked to make a prediction believe Duke is the leader. Each person voted one way or the other its a poll not a prediction.
More people who were polled think Duke lands Bolden. It depends who is being asked.
There's a subtle difference. In my mind that crystal ball thing is hogwash.
But if anyone asks me, I think it's an even race for Bolden between you guys and UK. But as time goes on, I think he tilts to UK. But also it depends if Cal let's Lee return if Lee doesn't get assurances of even being a free agent pick up.
