I got a ticket a month or so ago, in a ******** hidden school zone, and had to go down to the courthouse to pay it. Wow. Think it's maybe the 2nd time I've been in that building...what a depressing place.

90% of the low-level attorneys down there walking in and out & hustling around to represent that scum seem pretty much dead-on Saul Goodman, when he was doing the courthouse lawyer stint...am I wrong?
You couldn't be more right actually, minus the "low-level" modifier. Kinda unnecessary.

Yeah, that sounded bad. I realize people have to get their start somewhere....but I just got that entire Saul vibe from the entire place. It was the 1st level, where traffic/small drug stuff/theft/domestic disputes I assume are all handled. Attorneys were 'meeting' with and introducing themselves to their clients on public benches, water fountains, or anywhere they could gain 4' of privacy from the mass gathering of shady characters.

I guess those are the public defenders?

Anyways, it was the most depressing place I think I've ever been.

And please add to that, BBdK, that every one of those self important ******** insist they deserve a much more lucrative job, for no justifiable reason.

Doesn't help that the building is a depressing early 70s concrete bane on our existence. Just an awful dark, nasty place. I would feel that way without the traffic court, small claims, etc.

Wodie... Ha. Wouldn't blame him if he did. 10.00 for a haircut is a steal.

Plus the availability of 1980's playboys laying around while getting my haircut is a worth a few extra dollars.

He's a great dude. His oldest son is graduating from UK early this May and his youngest son is a freshmen at UK.

a little late but why in the hell does BBdK need a John Deere riding mower. You have that much land?

We have 2 lots, covering about 0.8 acres. Pushing it isn't an option unless I wanted to spend 2-3 hours out there, which I do not.

The same reason I needed a Big Green Egg. What brand would have been acceptable to you, Booker? Let me know earlier next time.

Not concerned about the brand but did not realize you had 0.8 acres. Just thought you were being lazy to be honest.

-Anth, Pasta Garage is the same guys as Lexington Pasta. I hear it's good.

-Sportscenter is terrible. G and I used to watch it in the morning, but I think Sesame Street is actually better. What do they do with Sesame Street that makes even a tiny child stop and pay attention?

-When the high school/college question was asked, I completely forgot to count any of my male friends initially. Sorry guys.

-Waze is great. I like to know if there's a cop ahead, especially on New Circle. And any wrecks or random road closes on my path.

-1.5 hour sales meeting this morning. :grimace:

Damn, never considered that Anth. This will be the first time our grass has ever been cut, looking forward to seeing what it looks like.

Her brother (lawncare biz) has always handled...and recently now that he's out of that, her Dad took over in his absence. They have the full commercial setup, and it still takes them about an hour.

Pride set in, and I always hated having them do it anyways (b/c we were family/heavily discounted we weren't high priority), so I bought a mower. Pretty satisfying purchase, imo.

Anth could push mow his 'yard' in 5-7 minutes, lol.

Paying another man to mow your lawn, assuming you live in a normal American home, is ***** ********.

F you, Anth.
Touch away buddy. I used to cut it, then I realized cutting grass sucked and when done weekly was much better for my mood.

<---Team ***** ********.

Pay a dude to cut my grass. Best $40 I will ever spend.

I'd have a GD heart attack pushing a mower up my front yard. F that.

Oh, now Anth is lecturing people on paying for things. [roll]

Average quote for our yard is $60+a pop. Assuming we don't both die in the next 2 years, seems like a PTI(pti) approved purchase.

You'll be back to paying for it cut in <24 months. TS. #2 I do the opposite of everything PTI suggests. Well documented he is an idiot and not the person I want to help me with life decisions.

SAE, pretty much. Come home mid summer after a long day at work and realize I've been putting it off for 10 days and we look like rednecks VS come home and yard is crisp and clean every day. Yard cut and trimmed weekly. Mulch freshened up multiple times per year. Best looking yard on the street, pal. I'm an excellent neighbor.

Tony Schiavone: "And here's the man now. Steve Brash ..."

Steve Brashear (grabs mike): "TONY SCHIAVONE! MATT BEVINS HAS BEEN TALKING A LOT OF CHECKS THAT HIS BUTT CAN'T CASH! WHEN YOU STEP INTO THE RING WITH STEVE BRASHEAR AND THE GUBERNATHORITY, YOU'RE GONNA BE DEALIN WITH SOME PAIN THAT NO LINE-ITEM VETO CAN CURE! ME AND GREG "THE HAMMER" STUMBO GOT A SURPRISE FOR THAT CHUMP!"

Tony Schiavone: "My God! Is that ..."

(Television studio crowd begins hooting and hollering)

Tony Schiavone: "That's Paul Patton's music!"

(Paul Patton struts into studio to the tune of "Smooth Operator")

Paul Patton: "I'M NOT WEARING ANY PANTS UNDER THIS ROBE, TONY SCHIAVONE!"

(Crowd roars)

I enjoy cutting the grass. Of course, I am stuck inside at a computer all damn day during the week so getting outside and doing some real work feels good to me.
No, it doesn't. You fools try to play this game. Old men and weirdos "look forward" to cutting grass. You may not hate it but you don't enjoy it. I could see if it was something rewarding involving a little effort and craft, but no one actually enjoys cutting grass 30 times a year.

Black. I don't have any neon. Non-black is not flattering.

I will say this, the enjoyment of my yard being cut by a local company is far less than level I'm experiencing right now knowing how pissed SAE must be. [smoke]

Best looking yard on the street, pal. I'm an excellent neighbor.

You've said this before, and it's a lie. Your yard is fine. I mean, it's fine. However, there is literally nothing about it that would warrant such a ridiculous claim. I can't even think of one thing that would give it such a distinction. However, even if it was the best looking yard on the street (it's not), you bragging about it (while paying someone to do the work) rings a little hollow.

I'll admit it, I'm freaking lazy once I get home. I cut grass in at my first house and hated every second of it. Too many other things I could be spending a couple of hours on during the weekend than on the business end of a mower.

Cut during the week? Not a chance. I work in buildings that aren't climate controlled and am a sweaty mess at times when I leave work. My summer sexual fantasies are laying on the couch enjoying a cold one. Or early morning golf.

We looked in to getting one of those zero turn mowers. But for the price, it would have been a damn near 3 year ROI considering I pay $40 per cut. Most summers I've only needed it cut on a bi-weekly basis.

You idiots with kids that don't mow your own yard probably also own gas grills.

Learn "honey, watch the kids, I have to mow/warm up the grill". None of you are going to be included in any prison break schemes I'm involved in, that's for sure.

I've only driven by the Schembari estate so I've never seen the backyard but I can't imagine it taking more than 30 minutes to mow.

Gladwell, the Heath brothers, or some other pop-psych writer touched on how Sesame Street was made in such a way to optimize the attention span of little kids.

Guatemalan cuts the grass. I'll mow the field every once in a while.
