Tyler Ulis is arguably the greatest point guard in Kentucky basketball history. Jamal Murray is scoring at an unreal clip. There have been numerous threads on here discussing how they could potentially be the greatest backcourt in UK's history.
Unfortunately because our front court is not up to standard, it's gonna depend largely on matchups.
I think with a 3 or 4 seed, Cal's coaching along with Murray and Ulis is good enough to get us to the 2nd weekend.
Our front court seems to produce every other game. So if the sweet sixteen is that game then we'll make it to the E8. Unfortunately that's the point when you start running into times that have balance. I think that's the point that we won't likely be able to overcome our lack of rebounding.
It's also possible that happens a round earlier in the sweet sixteen if that's the game that Poythress, Lee and Skal decide to no show.
It's also possible Willis and Murray just go on a tear from 3 and carry is all the way to the title along with Ulis AA level play. But I don't think that's likely. They've already been burning it up during conference season. Think they're more likely to come back down to earth than get even hotter at this point.
