I think Marriott was betting big on this settling without ever having to go to trial because they thought Andrews would not want to relive it in the public eye. Boy did they misjudge that one. She called Marriott's bluff and now they're screwed. Did they not realize that this is someone who talks to the public for a living? Pretty damned good chance she's going to be a very good witness. I'm sure she crushed all the prep her attorneys gave her before taking the stand too.
You think? I'm sure they tried to settle this- albeit with a sealed settlement and nondisclosure, which Andrews probably balked at.

I just can't believe you can call a hotel and ask for a room next to a female celebrity and get it. Kinda concerning?

Amuses me how all the Louisvillians know about all the restaurants in Louisville. Cincinnati's just too vast. It would be just about impossible to have a beat on every fine restaurant in the area. I'm overwhelmed (and hungry) just thinking about it. lol

For being an IU apologist, I seem to be one of the few around here who isn't scared to play them in the tourney this year.

Umm, that's b/c you aren't really affected or upset if they were to win. Good for their program, etc.

The rest of us would be miserable, especially me.

Terrance Ferguson apparently backing out of his Bama commit. Was hoping they could hold on to him.

Yeah, I mean what if she was raped by a stalker? I didn't realize that part of the story. I assumed it was an employee.

And we have no actual "Socialists" in America...even Bernie. The farthest left we actually go in this country is moderate in most of Europe. But GOP has done a hell of a good job of getting people (Even intelligent ones like you) to believe standard liberalism is somehow radical socialism. Pretty impressive actually.

I don't think many American's understand that we really aren't taxed that much at all compared to a ton of other countries. I think we're like 25% below the OECD average for taxes as a share of a country's GDP. Whether you think we should pay less or not, it's just a fact.

Well, that's false.

Louisville has more quality restaurants than Cincy & it's not even close...your own Jeff Ruby said we have more on one STREET than your entire Metro, in fact, which is probably true.

You're just a simpleton who doesn't pay attention, or care to, and that's fine.

Cincy sucks, man. Shew. :100points: (OTR is cool though)

DrX can talk about tax plans and ideologies all he wants. He can demur about not having made his mind up yet. But there's a candidate who's literally a cross between fat Val Kilmer and Vince McMahon, and if you think for a minute Boat won't be enthusiastically casting his vote for him, then you haven't been paying attention.

Golf buddy of mine ordered a medium well steak at an Applebee's while we were there for some post round pops. I'm not even sure why I am still friends with him.

FALSE! No one would be more affected than myself. I encounter way more IU fans than any of you. If we had lost in the Sweet 16 in '12, it would have been my worst loss as a UK fan BY FAR.

I wouldn't say I am enthusiastic about any of these candidates.

Some bizarre takes here on Erin Andrews. The whole thing is horrible (note, did watch the video, have it in my gmail somewhere).

She should get paid.

As far as her improving career, does she really have much of one anymore?

Bernie has, in the past, given high praise to Fidel Castro and the Sandinista government in Nicaragua. As well as stating bread lines are sign of a healthy economy. I think he is more incoherent than rabid Marxist, but I don't think tacitly advocating for bread lines is "standard liberalism" (Progressivism, not Liberalism).

He doesn't currently advocate for Latin American revolutionary socialism, but his platitudes about Scandinavian socialism aren't the entire picture either. But again, he is more incoherent populist than anything in this election
Saving this for bedtime so I can fall asleep, thanks

I mean, it's absolutely wrong what happened and an invasion of her privacy, but it could have been a hell of alot worse than just standing there naked getting ready...she could have been doing other, far more embarrassing things.

Sounds like a good defense.

Ladies and gentlemen of the Jury, I trust that you all understand..this could have been a lot worse. What if she was shitting on someone's chest, or f*cking a wild animal, or even pegging Tim Tebow? That would have been much worse. All she did was stand there naked, the way each of us came into this world. That's it. In fact, Ms. Andrews received millions of comments stating that she had a fantastic body, and had nothing to be ashamed of. I think you'll find, that deep down, this was a benefit to Ms. Andrews, both financially and to her self-esteem. Should you give her millions of dollars even though she profited immensely from this video? Should you give her millions of dollars because she was showered with compliments? You are all reasonable people, and the reasonable thing to do is forbid Ms. Andrews from exploiting this generous gift she was given. She is searching for a lottery ticket today, seeking jackpot justice. I urge you to see through it. See that my client was the real victim here.

If I was President, my first order of business would be to merge North and South Dakota into one state and call it Dakota. On the old state line I would build a new city that would serve as the capital of Dakota. I would name that city Fanning. Thus, no one again would ever encounter confusion when asked which state Mount Rushmore resides.

People who take this view are going to be really surprised when Donald ends up being more liberal than Hillary (which I think on some issues besides immigration, may actually be the case).

Pardon the interruption but this farce just screams rebuttal.

I know you like to post w/ a sly grin as you throw these jabs at the right in general, or a specific candidate like Trump, or Gov. Bevin, for example. I guess the political butthurt continues...

From fivethirtyeight.com and their sources...

Clinton was one of the most liberal members during her time in the Senate. According to an analysis of roll call votes by Voteview, Clinton’s record was more liberal than 70 percent of Democrats in her final term in the Senate. She was more liberal than 85 percent of all members. Her 2008 rival in the Democratic presidential primary, Barack Obama, was nearby with a record more liberal than 82 percent of all members — he was not more liberal than Clinton.

Extreme liberalism is alive and well in this country. We live it every day and it is getting worse.

Carry on.

There is no starker indicator of socioeconomic divide in this country than the Kroger that separates hipster Over the Rhine from "We took a wrong f***ing turn" Over the Rhine.

It's all the same now. We are one. Lots has changed since you closeminded Gen Xers fell into the domestic trap.

Jones needs a 5 day suspension for dragging out the wing nuts by responding to a Dr Bob political post.

FTR, I was responding to accusations of being an enthusiastic TRUMP supporter.

I mean, its been an interesting day. Running arguments about stalking, politics, IU, and Louisville vs Cincy restaurants.
