Nzar was a complete project but he turned into a crazy dedicated/motivated guy after year 1. He was so out of shape and he's managed to stay ripped this entire time. Skal came in as a high elite talent he just can't get a grip on the physicality of the game. Mostly because he doesn't understand basketball. He's a good kid, he'll be alright eventually.

-Man, Willis back tonight would be nice. Need this W. Can't imagine they have in physical drills if he's not ready. Assuming that video was the drop.

K. I agree that sometimes players are bad their first year then get better. But Nazr and Skal had/have totally different issues. Plus, big difference coming in expecting to be a project vs expecting to be a top 3 pick.

-.

- I actually think IU will be fine next year even with those losses.
-return of Blackmon
-senior Hartman and junior Johnson
-OG taking Williams spot
-Pitt transfer Newkirk at pg
-arrival of 4star Davis who is basically same size and ranked in same spot as Bryant
-4star sg Jones coming in
-Sophomore Morgan providing frontcourt depth

That isn't what we'll have nor other top teams but Crean has done well with guard oriented squads. IU fans should be happy. They're ranked 12th and have a shot at the B1G title. But we match up great with them. I would love to run into IU come tourney time.

I think people underestimate how difficult it is to replace guys like Ferrell/Williams/Bryant or Lee/Lewis. Guys like Calipari are the master of it, but most struggle.

Florida is athletic and aggressive so I fully expect some more dogshit officiating. Lee will be delivering the foul on at least 3 Gator And1s. I think we pull it out though. Ulis will be hungry after the loss.

Those 3 will be difficult to replace but I like the options they have in place, especially Onunoby. He'll be a star. There's also a chance that Williams and/or Bryant could return.

Against the right team he could have a good game but I wouldn't count on that. At this point anything other than a turnover or foul is a positive when he's on the court.

He's going to work on getting Skal & Izak mid range jumpers and at least getting some production out of them. I BET THAT IS THE TWEAK.

Chris Fisher analyzed the importance of Alex getting off to a good start to both himself & our team.

When he scores in the 1st 5 minutes, he averages 13.3ppg.
When he doesn't, 6.2 ppg.

Pretty dramatic. And you can see it: He just has a different energy for the entire game when he comes out fast...just not one of those guys who can dig deep and find it out of nowhere, with a few exceptions (2014 Run). Definitely not something you can count on, or even hope for with reasonable confidence.

In our 17 wins: 11ppg, 6.7 rebounds
In our 7 losses: 6.7ppg, 5 rebounds

...obviously we play better as a team when the guards get help, but him playing well is bigger for us than many want to admit, especially without Willis, of course.

I know about college bball. IU is a part of that.
BS. Give me the incoming transfers, recruits, possible draft status of Iowa, Nova, Xavier, St. Mary, UNLV or any other number of mediocre programs around the country. You guys let him get in your heads and you're way too worried about that program. BBdk watches their games and is as interested as UK games.

Jury's love when the defense plays the "plaintiff-is-too-rich-to-be-entitled-to-damages" card.
"I mean, really, given how much money the plaintiff made off this whole thing, my client is actually OWED some money here."

Also- extra "lawyers are shitheads" points for the fact this was done with Andrews on the stand. That's not only morally reprehensible it's bad trial practice, idiots.

IU is a top 7 program. All of the college bballs here could elaborate on any of those programs. IU is not what is was but they're not in the same group as Xavier and UNLV.

I mean, it's absolutely wrong what happened and an invasion of her privacy, but it could have been a hell of alot worse than just standing there naked getting ready...she could have been doing other, far more embarrassing things.

75 million though...

OG Anunoby is going to be a star.

I follow IU with the same fervor as UofL. I watch every single one of each of their games, unless UK is playing. Been that way as long as I can remember.

Rooting against them is not as fun as watching a UK game, but it's the next best thing. Carolina not far behind.

I remember beating them that year and thinking, "This is one of the worst IU teams I've ever seen." Just a completely nondescript bunch of turds. I have no idea how they made it as far as they did.

Just being selfish but a little EA vs Kirk would've been solid. If we're really just throwing stuff out there EA vs Jenn Brown vs Kirk would top the list I guess. I'm sure BBdk would have wanted some EA vs Desmond.

IU was the best team in the country along with UL 3 years ago. I know they went down in the Sweet 16 but so did the mighty '02 Duke squad that lost to that fluke IU team. UNLV hasn't been relevant since Granma-ma. Xavier has never been to a FF. IU has 2 titles, 3 title games, and four FF in my lifetime. How does Xavier compare to that?
