This team has no clue right now.

I believe some FAAAARRRRings are in order.
Definitely not ready to play......maybe we get some coaching at half-time
Briscoe looking a lot like Archie Goodwin

Offensive offense.....geez people....this will teach these kids what they've yet to learn...relax...
it's pretty simple...drive , get fouled and brick free throws....
Relax Debbie. Briscoe and Murray both sat several minutes because Cal didnt want them to pick up a 3rd foul in the 1st half.
My boy Willis kept the Birds at bay with that 3 ball.
Bullitt Co. In da hoooooouse!

Well I don't think we can play any worse than that. Hopefully they don't prove me wrong in the second half.
I can't believe how lost Skal is. He has nothing but fouls on his stat line. What is he waiting for? Basically we are down a man when he is in the game.

I don't get some of you dudes. How was it not obvious that Tyler was that important before this? This team is full of freshman and guards may be some of the harder positions to bring along.
Can you imagine Michigan St. without Valentine? Bet they wouldn't look like a top 5 team. How about Duke last year without Okafor? Not surprising at all that Tyler is that guy for us this year. FT's are the only real surprise I've seen thus far. TOs are going to happen to freshman guards playing with other freshmen and I expect that to improvement as they get a better feel for the offense.
I still don't think we should be having this much trouble with Illinois St. but they are laying a nice blueprint of hack-a-cat because we can't pull away only hitting 50%.

Why isn't Murray running the point? Briscoe isn't doing a very good job at all.. Hell let Hawkins run it and see..
I liked the halftime comment, "he serves up filet mignon"
I think you missed the point entirely. Nobody said anything about Briscoe and Murray sitting out.
But yes, I was glad to see that three go down.
They need to come out with fire in their bellies or we're going to lose this game. Hopefully they run some something that looks like an offense.
It's true. He has incredible court awareness. He'll be a 10+ NBA vet
Honestly we should be happy to be tied....our two most talented players Murray and Skal gave us nothing.
He is good at what he does but, we are supposed to have big time talent beside him.
Yep, guy is ridiculously smooth and makes great decisions. I hope he gets drafted 1st round.
Mulder missed a defense assignment 15 sec in........his rope is not as long as the OAD's
I'm not sure I've seen a Kentucky team put up so many bricks in a season let alone 7 games.
Were you under a rock in 2013? Must've been or you aren't really smart about basketball. Probably both, tbh
I guess someone else is beating a damn good Illinois state team by 15. I guess some other team isn't startin it's best player tonight against that good team. I guess we didn't beat Duke and NPOY ESPN golden boy, Chazz Michael Michael's.
I guess our young freshman are supposed to beat teams like this by 25? 35? 45? I guess they don't get time to learn the speed and flow of college basketball. I guess no one should get by now that cal schedules early tough games against teams that throw different looks, like this.
Look back at his Memphis schedules.

We have no good shooters other than Ulis. 16 missed free throws tonight. No excuse for that whatsoever. Skal is nowhere to be found tonight.
Heck don't try talking sense. Many seem to carry their cents in their pockets.
Don't buy that. Murray is also a good shooter, and Willis can hit the 3. I think this team will be shooting a decent amount better by the end of the year.
The sky didn't fall.
Some of you really don't understand how Cal's teams work. EVERY year (except last year) we look ragged against a few cupcackes, show up under the bright lights against "name" schools and reveal our true identity about midway through the SEC slate.
Chill out and relax, y'all.
The hand wringing would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad. This isn't video games. We're not going to beat everyone by 40.
