UK vs Duke predictions

I don't like Duke, but I've got no problem with soccer Moms.
I don't see this game being in the 70s or below. Both teams are scoring well (they have scored 102.5 ppg) but they have given up 74.5 ppg to two very weak teams. So, even though our defense has not been great, it's been better than theirs and we have played two good teams. That said, if we don't stop their shooters, I could easily see us losing. If we can hold them under 80, I think we can win.
Honestly with both teams having a bunch of new prime time player's it's just hard to say. It could be anything from a double digit margin either way to a OT nail biter. These two don't play very often, but history shows when they do sometimes epic games unfold like that '92 game or the '98 come back from a 17 point deficit win. The one prediction I'll make is it will be a game worth watching.
If Poy would come out and aggressive and be a freaking bully out there. He, Skal, and Lee would tear Duke's big's up. The thing I worry about is Allen and Keenard and Duke's 3pt shooting. We're gonna have to have a good shooting night from Murray, Ulis, and Willis. But in the end we're the better and more talented team. And we'll come out on top. 74-69. Alex Poythress is a freak of nature. He's just too soft. He needs to play with a mean streak. He should be a double double machine and I want to see it start on Tues. I wanna see him try to dunk the hell out of it every time he gets close to the rim and yell as loud as he can as he's going up. Then get in the guys' face he dunked over. He needs to be a freaking bully out there. PLAY MEAN ALEX. PLAY LIKE A ROUGH *** THUG ALEX. IT'LL GET YOU DRAFTED IN THE LOTTERY.

Duke does a great job of spreading defenses out and creating driving lanes but they seem to struggle on defense. I think UK has done a really good job on the defensive end. Albany and NJIT both had studs that came out on fire. UK shut them down quickly. They really defended those backcuts well today too.
I think UK is the better team. I don't think Plummlee and Jefferson are a very good frontcourt at all and I think our guards are better.
We need those outside shots to fall though.

I honestly think this will be another one of our "epic" games with them, and I can see it going either way. Since I'm a Cat fan I'm saying UK by 2: 94-92.
82-72 . Murray goes for 24 and Lee goes for 16/12 . all our bigs go off against that wack azz inside game Duke has .I mean Amile Jefferson is the best inside threat they have - nuff said.
Georgetown lost in OT to Radford today add them to the list of upsets.....college basketball is wayyyyyy wayyyyyyy down this year. Whatever happens tuesday keep in mind it's two of the top 10 teams in the country.

I like the personality of our team. I'm glad to see Briscoe play tonight, and play well. I was glad to see Labissiere play so well. I think Murray will rise to the occasion against Duke. The Blue Devils are breaking in quite a few new guys themselves. And I think we're a tough match up for them. I think it will be a good game, pretty close, but I think the Cats are a bit better.

I hate to be that guy but I just don't find the humor in this. Every time someone posts it as a joke I cringe a little. It's just in poor taste to make light of a potential serious health issue.
I mean obviously he was fine but when someone collapses like that it's pretty scary. All I can think about is this kid that played football with us in high school that went down like that and ended up dying.

Lol we're very close. I think 78-75 Kentucky. Just think Skal and the big edge at point guard for Kentucky may be a bit too much for Duke to overcome on Tuesday.
I wonder how significant the difference in level of competition faced thus will be.
Duke 2 opponents both had losing records last season and an average kenpom in the 250's.
UK's 2 opponents both won 20 games and had an average kenpom of 147.
Typically those 250 and lower opponents are the teams that even bubble teams beat by 30.
Duke and UK are currently 1 and 2 in Kenpom. Though I don't think that means much this early.
