This is one of those posts I never thought I'd have to do.

I've dreaded this moment for a while and the time has finally come to admit it...

My yard has armyworms.

I appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and Dale's. I will get through this.

Had my yard sprayed this summer. Before I noticed them I remember thinking my grass never looked better. Apparently they didn't have time to eat anything.

I'm wondering if my yard has them too. For the last week 7 crows have been eating something in my grass on a daily basis.

Lawns are ecologically stupid. Replace it with native plants that pollinators love like perennial wildflowers. They're less work, they're better for the native ecology, and I think they look a lot better.

Friend a few mile away has them. I've been checking my yard but so far it's worm free. Mine is so dry and dead they'll probably skip me anyway.

My daughter came running into the house last week screaming, "Dad we are about to have a million butterflies because our grass has a bunch of caterpillars." I was able to spray them that afternoon and saved my grass. My neighbor up the road was not as lucky.

What did you spray?

Wait! You mean that I can actually click a button and never see another golfer post?
Yes, but there's still a glitch....you cannot click willy nilly into a thread if the ignored is the most recent reply. It will show then, otherwise "ignored member" is all you'll ever see.1000006404.jpg

We should all grow Bamboo. It is one of the best Photosynthesis plants and converts CO2 to O2 more efficiently than most.

I spray twice a year with Bifen I/T.
It kills everything (or runs it off to my neighbor’s yard…)
I mixed up a gallon sprayer of BifenIT for wasps at the camp this weekend. Hadn’t tried that before. We killed over 50. It was a massacre.
