The head coach is there. It’s Sorensen.
He’s not the head coach of the HWC. He’s the head coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Sorensen and Dennis are there as well as Beatty as they are the representatives of the HWC which is who Spencer wrestles for.I just think it's weird that the head coach isn't at the most important tournament of the year to at least be present when the top athlete in the program fulfills a lifelong goal. Especially when head coach has given many, many interviews, including at fundraiser events, how critical gold medals are to the program
love BS!!The head coach is there. It’s Sorensen.

Iowa had one guy not 6. Sorenson and Dennis are coaches at the club they were there. Where was Robie? Were all the head coaches there ?Sorry to be a downer, but could Tom or Terry really not be bothered to be there to support Lee? Too busy running Caliendo out of town and fighting desperately to give Williams his 9th second chance, I guess?
I know this should be a happy day, and I'm actually not anti-Brands like some others are, but it's really hard to ignore the feeling that the coaching staff doesn't actually care as much about world and Olympic medals as they claim they do.
PSU has Carl, Cody, Varner, Nick Lee, and at least two other support staff members I've seen in match and interview videos. You're telling me that doesn't make a difference to the program as a whole downstream?
Flo didn't post a pre-tournament Spencer interview either.Interview of RBY posted but not Spencer?! What's going on here??
If Spencer’s locked in and won't do press, I'm here for it. It's just weird he's the only one without an interview posted. He's like the Leonardo DiCaprio or Marlon Brando of wrestling.Flo didn't post a pre-tournament Spencer interview either.

I'm totally kidding haha. Unbelievably sleepy deprived and making up conspiracy theories to pass the time. LolHe’s not the only one.
There isn’t a post-semis interview from Levi Haines, either.
And even if there was one, I wouldn’t assume that it ‘means’ anything
I’m sure he would take full credit for his success too. Or at least the fans would. LaJust think if PSU would've gotten Bassett. This HS kid who's already a Senior World Gold medalist in FS, could turn into a very good collegiate wrestler under Cael's magic fairy dust.
I’m sure that’s the case - MoranMaybe Spencer doesn't want them there? I have zero insight into the TnT/Lee relationship and haven't seen or heard anything that mentioned it was strained.
But unlike Brando, Spencer is most certainly a contender : )If Spencer’s locked in and won't do press, I'm here for it. It's just weird he's the only one without an interview posted. He's like the Leonardo DiCaprio or Marlon Brando of wrestling.
Your comment implies you didn’t watch the match, because it’s not true. Please provide a video and give timestamps of what you’re claiming.Good to see people defending Brands to their death here - keep it going
as for spencer, clearly impacted by whatever happened at the end of his quarters match. He was falling all over himself in the semi’s - truly hope not knee related (again)
Spencer jogged back to the locker room in both matches after he fell, maybe he could be hurt but I don't think so. I think the snaps from the Azerbaijanian were just that strong.Good to see people defending Brands to their death here - keep it going
