He’s not the head coach of the HWC. He’s the head coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Sorensen and Dennis are there as well as Beatty as they are the representatives of the HWC which is who Spencer wrestles for.

I could just anxious about Spence finally getting here, but after the weird trip and the little issue in the semis, I'm less confident than I was previously in this. I think I'm just trying not to get my hopes up again like in '24, but I really hope RBY isn't able to do to him what he historically did to ADS. Handfight and circle, do just enough to avoid stalls or passivity, snag a low-level re-attack in the last minute and hold on for the remainder. I imagine that's gonna be the strategy here as well.

I know this should be a happy day, and I'm actually not anti-Brands like some others are, but it's really hard to ignore the feeling that the coaching staff doesn't actually care as much about world and Olympic medals as they claim they do.


PSU has Carl, Cody, Varner, Nick Lee, and at least two other support staff members I've seen in match and interview videos. You're telling me that doesn't make a difference to the program as a whole downstream?

Iowa had one guy not 6. Sorenson and Dennis are coaches at the club they were there. Where was Robie? Were all the head coaches there ?

There isn’t a post-semis interview from Levi Haines, either.

And even if there was one, I wouldn’t assume that it ‘means’ anything

Good to see people defending Brands to their death here - keep it going

as for spencer, clearly impacted by whatever happened at the end of his quarters match. He was falling all over himself in the semi’s - truly hope not knee related (again)

Spencer jogged back to the locker room in both matches after he fell, maybe he is hurt but I don't think so. I think the snaps from the Azerbaijanian were just that strong.

Lol, watch the match on youtube im not sending links. In the first ~90 seconds alone at 5:40, 5:37, 5:00 and 4:22 in match time. Looked like he did against Courtney in 2021 with getting snapped down to his face at ease from the lack of stability

as for jogging off, he ran off the mat everytime he’s had a torn acl - he’s a genetic freak that’s been proven

He's had weird post-match trips, falls, whatever. I mean either he has the worst luck ever and tweaks his knee multiple times a year, or he has massive adrenaline dumps and with multiple reconstructed knees his legs just don't work like a normal 27 year old, so he falls like an old *** man.

Trust me, it's thing!

If I'm not mistaken that Oklahoma Chief guy has 2 or 3 messages total (changed names to talk sh*t)) and all of them are anti-Spencer, anti-Iowa. Sounds like another one of those guys who hides behind a new name to get a rise because he's not getting one elsewhere, and whose mommy didn't give him enough attention growing up. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think so.
