Rutgers' books are public. If we're spending $16 million on player salaries, there's a line item somewhere. I'll believe it when I see it. There aren't four players on the whole team worth more than $200k/year.
Here you go. They are spending the full allowable revenue share amount.

• What amount did Rutgers pay out to student athletes for Name, Image, and Likeness last
year?
Rutgers Response:
None. For background, in addition to scholarships, there are two distinct payment streams for college student-athletes: Revenue Share and Name, Image, and Likeness (“NIL”).
The House v. NCAA settlement, originally reached in 2024 and approved in June
2025, established Revenue Share, allowing participating institutions to pay student-athletes directly up to 22% of the average revenue generated across the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, and SEC from media rights, ticket sales, and sponsorships. The cap for the 2025-26 academic year is $20.5 million per school. Generally, the cap will
increase 4% the next two years and will be re-evaluated every three years during the 10-year settlement period.
In FY26, Rutgers, like every other Power Four school, committed to paying $20.5 million in Revenue Share to its student-athletes.
