Iowa intentionally took a safety in the 6-4 game with 8:04 left in the game which would have allowed PSU to win with a field goal because they knew that the hapless PSU offense would not be able to score if the game lasted another week. That was a pitiful performance in which PSU not only lost, but was completely emasculated. PSU had 6 first downs in that game. 6.

Though Iowa took the safety because they were so concerned about our defense, that it was more likely we scored off a turnover, so leave PSU on offense. Which does sound and look a lot like the Wisconsin game, but our d fell apart in the end. You can’t say either big tennis game the offense looked any better than the 6-4 game

Whose future? I must admit that I was wrong all along. Given this cupcake schedule, even as I warned of systemic problems in the future, I believed this was a double-digit win season. Even if there is a miracuous recovery and PSU wins 4 of 6, It's 7-5. No 2026 class to fill slots (even in the 2 deep) a mediocre (for PSU standards) 2027 class and a schedule that gets more difficult in 2027 and 28.
I would assume all realistic fans now realize that the he "coaches them up" BS was just that. PSU is in desperate need of an infusion of elite talent. What will fix that? $$$$$ For all the criticism of last years distribution of NIL/RS money, how about the 30 million spent on this roster, by this coach?

This is a view from outside PSU. Since joining the B1G, Penn State has usually field very good, but not great teams. Now the game has radically changed with NIL. Iowa State probably had talent equal to a low B1G team. Give the coach a couple of years and NIL money in the same realm as Oregon, OSU etc. and Penn State will be back.
