Rivals has 14 five stars in each of the last 2 recruiting classes. So if pope recruiting every 5 star in the '25 and '26 recruiting classes and missed he would still only be 0 for 28, but don't let facts get in the way....I guess you could include the '24 class but most of those 5 stars were committed before pope was hired

I would hope he is considering that he hasn't gotten a single one. What is the argument that you are even trying to make? That it isn't as bad as it seems because he only recruits 10 of the top 14? He clearly cannot get top HS players to come here and has also struggled to consistently land the big fish in the portal. Milan is the only one. Attempting to argue that this guy can recruit, or will eventually, is just insanity.
I was pointing out that the numbers were exaggerated. Pretty obvious what I was doing. And yes, the actual numbers, whatever they may be, still aren't good. That also, is pretty obvious. So many posters on here just throw out random exaggerated numbers to prove their opinions and facts be damned. Then the posters that support that poster's opinion run with those exaggerated numbers as if they were fact.
The fact that we still get visits and are in the top 5 for literally every kid, despite the fact none of them want to play for Pope, proves Kentucky is the brand.

I think it proves that our NIL offers are high end and that is backed by data. Other programs cringe when someone visits UK because they know the asking price just went up. Agents are using us as leverage.

Some services have more. ESPN had 23 last season and some have over 30 some years. Rivals doesn’t have a set number either for every year although the last couple years have only had 14. In 2022 they had 20 five stars and have had more than that. I get your point but recruiting definitely needs to improve. Hard to figure out with all the money we have. Is what it is. lol.
