That was a Catch... Ruling was BULLSHIZZLE

i've watched that amazing catch by Darby over and over again and I'm still not sure how they ruled that incomplete. I don't care that it moved a little during the catch, he was smoothly and absolutely in control of that catch. Instant Replay has been great for the sport but i also believe some of the catch rulings have been just stupid.

1. We are all homers, but that sure seemed like a catch - would love an objective person’s take. (The SC cheerleading announcers at that point even said it was a catch).

2. There is NO WAY there was enough evidence to overturn. I think if it had not been ruled a catch, there would have been enough evidence to call it a catch.

3. The fact that this was a review - where officials could gather themselves and ponder the ruling - makes me completely suspect that this wasn’t mere incompetence but blatant fixing. What else are you supposed to conclude?

The on-field refs called it a catch, it’s whoever is reviewing it in whatever room somewhere that reversed it I assume.

I actually didn't get to see that play. Assuming it was the first half? Was sleep for work
worth a watch it was a thing of beauty. I'm now sober and still believe it was a catch. Not sure where they found evidence to overturn their original correct call. Maybe there were some NFL ref scouts at the game and they were trying to impress them xD

how quickly they reviewed and reversed was odd too you're right. Karma eventually self corrected but dayum

Yeah, I was agitated yesterday a few times thinking about it. If we had lost the game people would be going apeshit, justifiably. I do hope UK is calling the SEC offices with some WTH questions. I was surprised the announcers did not call it out as pure baloney. They were very mild.

I will give them that it slightly moves... But his arms are under it and he remains control throughout. I just don't see how you could over turn it either way. Whatever was called on field should have stood, which was a catch.
There's a world where the ball hits the ground before he gets control but it certainly wasn't obvious on the replays. How in the world its was reversed would be beyond belief if Darby didn't have a UK helmet on. No doubt it would have been a Bama catch.

It sucks that every time we have a positive big play reviewed I must assume it will go against us. Then when our opponent has a questionable big play they usually do not even bother with a review.

Well you are so mighty and powerful you should be able to change that. I mean you own an entire forum. You don't get paid for keeping the narratives around here?

I figured you were rich. Naw your just a poster that post more than Dandy Andy and thinks your way is the right way.

Let's change this from rupps rafters to Paul's rafters. Pauls opinions are important. Nobody else should speak.

It was absolutely a catch. Crazy they overturned it and even crazier they overturned it so quickly.

That was a signal as to who the league wanted to win this game. Too bad.
Usually the players trot down. Get up to the line and coaches complain. They then blow the whistle and go to review. That didn’t happen here. As UK was trotting down REVIEW pops up on the screen in red. If you ask me. The league office wanted the review. It came up on the screen immediately. I told my wife… looks like league office wanted SC to have the advantage. If the league office calls for the review. That means they want it overturned.

That's exactly what I think happened too. The league made that call and it was total BS but its the only way that poor decision was made so quickly.

The review came really quick. UK didn't even have the chance to hurry up and lineup for a quick snap. Definitely seemed weird to be sent for review so quickly.
