Do you truly believe Venezuela had the option to say no?

It was kind of like the vaccine passports. You didn't have to take the shot. But you might lose your job, not be able to shop for groceries, and in general shunned from society.

Whatever you want to call it, I don't think it's taking.

The US struck a deal which is mutually beneficial to both countries.

Well, we're also keeping Nobel Peace Prize winner Maria Corina Machado out of Venezuela. Weird that the woman we claim won the election that preceded our military intervention is being kept from returning to Venezuela and we're keeping Maduro's corrupt #2 in charge.

It doesn't sound like there is much of a plan. Typical Trump. The big oil companies aren't jumping in. The deal, such as it is, can be voided by future leader on either side. The guy on point for this plan is under investigation in multiple countries.

1. A good chunk of this money will be in hiring Venezuelan workers at good paying jobs.
2. Then the US either gets access or can pay at cost for 55% of the oil field production. The other 45% goes to Venezuela.
3. Our oil companies were in V and had done this all in the past before H. Chavez.
4 Chavez and Maduro had decimated the V oil business. The 45% they get will be far more than they were doing.

This truly is a win/win for the US and Ven. You can argue specifics but suggesting this is similar to how the Native Americans were treated is bizarre and takes either TDS or just plain anti Americanism to a whole new level.

You invaded another country and killed their leaders and walk away saying: this is a good deal for everyone. SMH. If its such a good deal and the economic opportunities are so vast im sure we should be shipping all our unemployed to Venezuela to labor camps.

Oh boy, "Invaded another country and killed their leaders". What country are you talking about? Maduro is in a jail in NYC. "Venezuelan labor camps" I thought you were saying the Venezuelan's have things great and do not our financial investment. Labor camps don't sound so nice. the economic investments are great for Venezuelan workers and not as a place to send our workers. Do you understand what win-win means?
