Olivia Miles, the new face of the WNBA, blew up the stat sheet tonight. 13 pts on 3/13 shooting, 6-7 on FTs, 1/3 on 3s. But 7 assists and only TWO turnovers which is the real indicator as to why Miles is already in a category "miles" above Caitlin Clark..................

I have not tracked it but I hear a lot about the league not crediting CC with assists. Well, certain ones. She obviously gets a ton but the thinking is she should have more.

Not sure where you’re hearing that. I think there’s been several times that the statisticians have been generous with assist scoring. That is likely league wide though, not just a CC thing.

As to CC turnovers - it just dawned on me - maybe I am slow. But if a team shoots 50%, then 4 turnovers will equal 4 points. So if you get 10 assists that is at least 20 points, but really a few more. So CC goes 20-10-4 and that is 20 pts off of assists and giving 4-6 off of turnovers. Sounds pretty impressive to me.

This is what folks don't understand. You Tube has come a long way from it's inception. People still must use common sense and good judgement to get to the truth however. I’m not sure what you’re trying to say. She’s getting 10 assists almost every game now. People aren’t going to catch every pass she throws and score. They just aren’t. While we make fun of the league there are some darn good and athletic defenders guarding her. Her and Mitchell plus Boston play incredibly off of each other. CC is by far the most creative passer in the legit she also throws a lot of tough passes to teammates she shouldn’t. You can’t expect these ladies to catch every pass and score. Because it also doesn’t happen in the NBA either.

I've watched Monica Czinano make tons of catches these "pros" cant.. same with layups. It's amazing to watch pros hit the bottom of the rim on a layup

Should be more like the WWF (Now called WWE). Went to a wrestling event with a buddy from work many moons ago, and we each took one of our kids. My friend John got into a pissing match with Mr. Perfect. Perfect told John it should be him in the ring with him. I got mad and told Perfect not to talk to my friend like that. Well, that's not correct, as I posted earlier. Layshia Clavedon born a woman in 1991, and was drafted in the WNBA in 2013. During her/she him/he career in 2021 had breast removal surgery and identified as a male, (trans gender) and still played in the W until 2024 while identifying as a male. So while not a "biological male" HE was indeed a trans player and were talking just in the last three years.

To add, several sites say they're not sure there haven't been other trans players, they just haven't come out publicly like Clavedon did in 2021..

It was a joke. I watch because I coached for many years and yes, Clark is the biggest draw because of the way she plays. Whether they’re the best or not isn’t the point, it’s not a high bar because the best should be able to make layups and use their opposite hand.
