Both sides are crooked. Doesn’t matter that the elephants have control of all 3 branches. Both sides are bought and paid for, therefore rendering my view that BOTH SIDES ARE CROOKED.

What part of BOTH SIDES ARE CROOKED, do you not get? Or do you not want to get it?

AND... when you have all the power and bring up "both sides," it's a cop-out. It doesn't mean you're wrong. It means you're irrelevant. Whose corruption actually has the power to do horrific, corrupt things and whose corruption is powerless? If Democrats get control of as many as 2 branches, let's hear you talk about both sides then. Did you do that in the first half of Biden's Presidency? Or was it all about how "evil to the bone" Democrats are?

Am I being delusional here? Acknowledging your point, then providing a reason why in this context it's a deflection on your part? Being too complicated for your incurious brain doesn't make it delusional.

You don’t really believe BOTH sides are corrupt. The complaining you do is only about the right. I don’t want to call you a liar, but you sure ain’t telling the truth.

A confused Trump gets lost on stage at the World Cup.

UPDATE:

Spain edited the confused, morbidly obese elderly man out of its picture. It’s embarrassing that a majority of the electorate supported such a gross individual. It makes us look bad on the world stage.

You’re trying too hard. There was nothing there that made him look confused. The man running across the stage reminded me of Biden though. Thanks for the chuckle!

Agree. Lil Duckey devil has to be trolling.

On another note, heard Biden is releasing a book soon. Guess it comes with a box of crayons.

Watched this just this morning. Explains why Iran would hate us so much. Also addresses how after the Islamic Revolution things were put in place to prevent future rebellion and keep their system of government functioning, which is helpful toward understanding why killing their Ayatollah and many other top figures doesn't appear to have slowed them down much.

I saw more of an ego trip than confusion. He was the only govt leader who tried to get in the picture with the winner. The man running across was the FiFA president trying to get him out of frame. Spain ended up cropping/photoshopping him out anyway.

Duckey, even Datt sees this. It's more than fair say Trump has an ego, but confused? Nah, nowhere near that.

Yeah, but for 80, and I know you don't want to admit it, he is pretty sharp though. @Ghost of Dattier won't admit it. He's too rigid. Out of our three lefty posters, you're the most rational.

That's not saying a lot though.

Real comical with how you libs see the world. You guys let your TDS get the best of you. If Trump is losing it, then what would you say about Sleepy Joe during his term?

Pretty rich of you to claim people have TDS when you can't even reference our 46th President without a derogatory nickname.

Is there any reasonable explanation for why anyone would claim President Trump is the worst POTUS ever? Or is he factually, objectively better than that and only someone with TDS would think otherwise?

President Biden's mental acuity appears to have deteriorated significantly over the course of his term, during which time haphazard & uncontrolled immigration was the worst thing that happened. That has already been dwarfed by the authoritarianism, corruption, and chaos of President Trump's second partial term, aided by a legislative branch and judicial branch that bows to his whims.

Go ahead and insult me personally since you can't back anything up with logic.

If this is what you call logic, then please spare us all when you go on one of your usual rants. Biden was never a good politician, corrupt like many of them, but from 21-24, he didn't lead our country. It is more than fair to say Obama had his third term. I honestly felt sorry for Ol Joe while he was President. No caring family member would ever subject their loved one to what they did to him for over four years.

If we can't at least agree on this, then there's no hope at all moving forward.

The most reasonable thing you've said in a long time in this thread. The full truth is his mental acuity was too bad before he was sworn in, and got worse. I'm surprised though that you aren't the least bit disappointed in your side. They lied to us up until the debate. That's pure evil.

Doesn't work like that. That's a comma at the end of what you quoted.
I can't imagine what it must be like to have to resort to deliberately taking people out of context to pretend you have a point. I'm embarrassed for you.

You cannot substantiate that in any way, shape, or form. He was a respected senator for decades, on both sides of the aisle. He was renowned for being able to work across the aisle. He was a great choice as VP, bringing expertise and experience President Obama lacked. I can cite the infrastructure bill that was passed. I can cite student debt relief. I can cite laws to improve veterans' affairs, control inflation, respect marriage equality, gun control, ACA subsidies, Rx prices, stronger international relationships... I can even point to a bipartisan immigration bill that private citizen Trump deliberately sabotaged so he could run on the xenophobia he has been stoking since his birther conspiracy.

What have you got? Jokes about autopens? Periodically incoherent speeches? A really bad debate performance? Making fun of his lifelong stutter? The reckless immigration our current President kept from getting better?

Let’s go back to the months leading up to Biden’s forced retirement.
Lest we forget, prior to the disastrous debate, the general party line amongst Dems was that Rep were exaggerating Biden’s cognitive decline. Many even claimed there was no decline whatsoever. It was only after the debate that they acknowledged yes Houston we have a problem. Was it a sudden epiphany that Biden’s mental acuity was in decline or was it a pragmatic reckoning that Biden was no longer electable that led to the coup? No wonder he felt betrayed.
In his family and staff’s defense, we sometimes witness a loved one’s decline and it’s only after a catastrophe when we’re forced to act. For example, we know Grandpa shouldn’t be driving but it’s only after an accident when the family forces him to hand over the keys, etc. Of course the topic at hand involves the leader of the free world, not an elderly loved one driving to the grocery store so the analogy has its limitations.

Trump undoubtedly has a high energy level, but also appears addled at times. He’s simply too old to be President. I’ve long contended that if there’s a minimum age to run for Pres, then there should be a maximum age as well. 65? 70? Late 40s or 50s would be ideal. Old enough to accrue experience, young enough to be at his or her mental peak.

Your defense of him is nothing but horse manure. A total refusal to see the big picture. The guy was slimy. His wealth increased by gigantic amounts while in DC. A career lifer, and a card carrying member of "The Swamp." What I've got is the eye test. You should (but won't) try it. He was a shell of himself (again, there was never a good version) by the time his name got put in the ring to dethrone Trump, and over his term, it of course got worse. Dementia, or whatever Biden has, is a cruel, slow decay.

Your side gas lit anyone who dared to suggest he wasn't mentally fit. It was obvious to see, but your side showed an evilness that should piss every red blooded American off.

As time goes on, info on his mental state, Covid, and election integrity, to name a few, will be like other moments in our history. Truths will come out debunking the narrative that has been pushed by our leaders, and the propaganda media.

What grates the most is how so many in the media ( I see you Jake Tapper) pretended post debate they had been observing Biden’s mild decline for a while that somehow got way worse overnight as opposed to the reality that they gaslit the public for three years that all the wandering around on stage and asking about dead reporters ( Has anyone seen Jackie?) was a figment of Republicans’ collective imagination

I never voted for Biden in a single primary. I wasn't excited about voting for him in 2020 and I wasn't looking forward to voting for him in 2024. I lean more toward believing that it was the catastrophic debate performance that woke the Democratic party up to how bad off he seemed and how that shook the trust of voters, rather than complete gaslighting. I also think it mitigates the seriousness of gaslighting when you're gaslighting yourself, as well.

Agree. Trump has more energy than many people half his age, but of course he isn't going to be as sharp as if he was in his 60's. The job as President takes its toll. Look at every President at the start, and either 4 or 8 years later. A big change. They look exhausted and aged by more than their time in office.

It's very sad that our last two Presidents are the age they are. It is too old. But it's a joke to compare Trump's mental fitness to Biden's. Joe was gone before he started.

The eye test is enough to convince yourself. I often convince myself with eye tests, as well. What I don't do is pretend that that's a good argument to use in discussion with others.

I hardly think citing factual things he accomplished qualifies as a defense. It's just the truth. For sliminess, he has never been within miles of President Trump, but where's your "both sides" argument there? lol

For you, this is a fair post, but not true. They tried to hide him the best they could during his term, and if there was anyway they could have gotten him out of having to do a debate, they probably would have. I don't believe for one second that it woke up the Democratic party, I believe they were all mad that they had just gotten caught.

I actually felt sorry for Biden that night, but I wasn't surprised. It's what we had all been seeing for years, and it came to a head in front of America, on every outlet, so they couldn't edit it before showing it. All they could do was watch like the rest of us.

Aside from 40-year-olds with terminal disease or chronic conditions, no, our President doesn't match the energy of anyone half his age. What a boring, basic thing to claim.

It's also a waste of time to argue which 80-year-old is more with it. That's like being really invested in the CBI Tournament.

We agree that they are both too old to have been President. You also claim President Biden wasn't really calling the shots. Wouldn't that be a good thing? There is no question President Trump is still driving the car and that no one around him will even question his driving. That means President Trump's potential to harm our country is far worse.

The devil is in the details, of course, but I'll stick with my like. You can't claim to have known all along but deny you were gaslighting folks. Contrary to what mac thinks despite being told otherwise repeatedly, I'm not a fan of Tapper, CNN, or much major mainstream media at all. I take everything they say with a grain of salt.

You're saying you liked being deceived and lied to. What a dumb thing to say. You're also ok with this being planned out ahead of time, because it was.

Here's how his handlers may have set it up, and how it played out:

We will get Ol Joe elected by any means possible, then let's keep him away from the cameras as much as we can. We can do this because the media is on our side. Yeah, I know he has to be in front of the camera some, but let's keep them brief, and instruct them what to ask him, and how long they can talk to him. Have them ask Joe about his grandkids, or where his favorite place to get ice cream is. Our side will be easy to convince. They're all a bunch of idiots anyway. We could tell them that they'll never taste the turd in the sandwich because it has cheese on it. This is great. Jill, you gotta grab Joe before he starts walking. Did you guys get that part squashed where he was talking to some dead person? Jill, come on. You have one job. This is tougher than we thought it would be, but we got this.

Now that bunch on the right are going to be a problem. We'll just make them look crazy. Let's degrade them, call them coo coo, say they're racists, homophobic, misogynistic... I mean it's been working for years. Hey, what about some riots? Yeah, yeah, that's a great idea. We need as many diversions as we can come up with. We are so smart! High five's for everyone. Now if we get Ol Joe through this debate coming up, this will be our greatest work ever. We should get an Oscar.

Awwww sh*%, this ain't good. Joe just come stumbling right out of the gate. **** I thought y'all said the medications would help him keep a better focus! We're toast. All we had to get past this last obstacle, and we were home free for another four. **** Now what? What do you mean now what? There is no now what. No way in the world Cackles can win. She's worse than he is. Who's idea was it for her to be the VP anyway? ****
Let's just concede. This one is too big to rig. We will regroup, and come out with both barrels firing soon as Trump gets sworn in.

The End.

I think tripling the price of generic medication in the US is a great idea. Another master political maneuver by Trump. He’s always looking out for the little guy. Republicans should put this achievement in their fall midterm ads.

Hunter and Beau certainly approve(d) of his parenting. There's that story of showering with a daughter at some undisclosed age, which would be fine up until a certain point, but don't let that stop you.

Why racist? He has had consistent support from Black voters and civil rights leaders throughout his career, but don't let that stop you.

Well the black voters have been duped for decades. Many of them finally saw things for what they were, and voted Red. Support from the civil rights leaders? That's been a really good partnership for the Dems. One gets the votes, the other profits. All is well.
