SO, what was the narrative when Stewie scored 34 on the Fever last time and she shot 19 for TWENTY ONE from the charity stripe? I guess it must of been the white girl thing as well, but funny we never heard a thing about that......

Some will do so for useful commentary and information. Others will follow along to hear information that will satisfy their "Itching Ears".

Secondly, folks who have a specific feeling about someone or some topic will gravitate toward the commentary that reinforces those feelings. And, another aspect of commentary are redundancies. This commentor "Parrots" off of the original story, and so on. And then, many of them endorse each other publicly (Which adds up to perpetuation). The important thing is to exercise discernment, but with all of the various opinions out there, it can be a pretty slick environment to navigate. Listening to both sides of commentary, and then forming an opinion is nice, but doesn't address bias in some form or another by the consumer.

In other words, the info and the commentary's out there. Common sense and research can help. But, good old common sense goes a long way.

And YET with all the hoopla she averages a point or so per game more then Clark and CC averages 8 assists and 5-6 boards to Mitchell probably at 2 and 2? I wonder who the recipient of many of Clarks assists are. Hmmm, bet its the other two leading scorers on the team...

And when her shot's a little off, she's still deadly dangerous to the opposition by using her passing skills to manufacture points that others simply cannot match (fastest ever to 200 assists).

You know you're one of the greats in the sport when people claim 17 points and 7 assists in only 26 minutes on the court while still getting healthy from a back injury constitutes a "terrible performance". In a weird sort of way, that's actually a compliment.

Too add she maintains nearly that same level of gravity whether she is shooting well or not because she CAN light it up at anytime and teams don't ever want to let her get up a head of steam.

Exactly. She's always a threat to put it in the hole from any angle, or she can penetrate. It's why you never see any sagging Ds even when she's not strokin' it in her usual way.

Are we still talking about basketball?

I'd argue that Mitchell and Clark have the 2 best step backs in the league. Mitchell's is so effective because she's so quick she can also drive right past you so you have to give her a step or 2 which makes her step back lethal. CC is obviously not as quick as Mitchell but clearly is an incredible ball handler so they can guard her a little bit tighter which I'm sure is also why she was able to be so effective with her step back. Both are great at it.
