Again, the history was in the link, but I guess reading limits ways for you to be creatively wrong while also being certain. When it was unpopular, it was still less unpopular than switching back and forth. And that was with the influence of people incorrectly believing it caused a spike in children being killed trying to get to school.
People are going to ***** when it changes just like they ***** now because it matters a lot where you are in a timezone and also latitude. And then there is personal preference. I personally am fine going to work in the dark in exchange for some light when I get off. Hell, I'd work in the dark for the first two hours in exchange for more time when I get off, but of course not everyone's work can be done in the dark easily and some people prefer getting ready when it's light outside even if it means it's dark when they get home because that is probably what's easier for your body when getting up even if it's worse for you to not spend anytime outside in the daylight for weeks on end. But the idea that it has been proven it's way less popular is just false. 22% liked switching back and forth. 42% liked it when we stayed on DST. That means a good chunk of people just hate having less daylight and mistakenly attribute their dislike of that to the status quo, regardless of which way it goes.
