Give me five places to eat in Denver, preferably Red Rocks side…. Holes in the wall, local joints….not chain to touristy.

Tennyson and West Highlands area is a very cool area, maybe 15-20 mins to Red Rocks. Staying there at the end of July when we go out to see Darius Rucker. Several restaurants around there.

Weldwerks Brewery and pub in Greeley is owned by a Tar Heel, Neal Fisher. About an hour north of Denver. Great beer.

Bob's Atomic Burgers in Golden is a great lunch spot where you can sit outdoors and look directly at the Coors Brewery.

I've been to Denver and Red Rocks quite a bit, but last September was the first time we'd really done anything in and around Golden (which is the town closest to RR) and I really enjoyed it. We'd done Denver enough, so the change of pace with the classic small western town of Golden was a nice reprieve.

I love everything about Red Rocks. Who are you going to see?
