Tough to beat out an in state school when the in state school has very little competition at the same position in the same class and the out of state school has a strong wr roster and 2 four star wr in the same class.

PSU only has one WR commit in this class.

I posted it because I’m not sure what point he is trying to make. It appears he insinuated that PSU has two 4 star WRs already committed?

Are you seriously putting OSU and PSU in the same sentence at WR?
No just pointing out that lots of teams have deficiencies.

I know.....I'm anticipating the Taylor commitment. And I'm sure Deshawn Hall is too.
I sure hope they get Taylor, but don’t count your chickens before they are hatched. Missing out on him at this point would be FUBAR. Crazy to think that some thought after OVs that PSU was going to land Dean, Hall, and Taylor.

Not unexpected at this juncture, him being a resident of Alabama. PSU should maintain contact in case he waivers as the season progresses.
Perhaps. Interesting though that Auburn has a new head coach also, who is a first time P4 HC. Also, don’t forget they managed to get former PSU OL commit Von Brandt to commit to them. He’s the #1 player in Delaware. They landed the #3 player in MD too. A highly rated Edge player out of DeMatha, James Pace. Golesh is starting off well down there. It’s a tough place to win. Time will tell.

According several sites Auburn has in the neighborhood of 10-12 million more in NIL capital than PSU. Who.knows what the.actual numbers are but PSU probably never going be a top program for NIL unless a whale donor shows up out of the blue.

While that is probably true as it is Alabama and they would probably prioritize football over life itself, Auburn has very limited tradition and success. They haven’t been significant on the national scene since Cam Newton. I guess cash is king these days though.

You're right there, Auburn isn't going anywhere soon.

I'm have no idea if he had some northeast connections from his previous coaching gigs, most recently at USF?
He spent a year as a student assistant at Ohio State. A few years as an assistant at Toledo. Ironically, he was the TE coach and recruiting coordinator for Campbell at Iowa State from 2016-2019. The two worked together as assistants at Toledo.

Hall was disappointing. Apparently we were right there with Auburn in the nil offer until the very end at which point they sweetened the offer somehow. Need Khalil Taylor for this class. We also seem to be attempting to flip a different wr named Taylor too who is committed to Rutgers.

It’s puzzling to me when PSU supposedly has the largest dues-paying alumni base in the country. But maybe it’s because the alumni are paying dues rather than NIL. 😂

It s funny that you mention that...my Dad famously said he joined the alumni association on the.day the day that he graduated over 50 years ago. He s also a long time ticket holder. He is completely turned off by several things with the athletic department. He can t stand Pat Kraft. As a retired architect he thinks they fumbled the stadium renovation in scope and cost. And lastly he always says what is the return on investment with yearly, large NIL donations?
He established a scholarship in the.architecture department because it s tangle and a worthy student will receive it and in almost every.case graduate. I doubt that he ll.ever donate to the Happy Valley United or any other collective at PSU.
