Actually you embody the "wounded ex girl friend" persona, constantly crying about how PSU lost because of Franklin (last year) as if he pissed in your Wheaties.
One thing you are partially correct about (amazing) is that I do have a profound respect for coaches (including CMC) who have reached the very pinnacle of achievement in their profession by securing a job at the collegiate level. Now I realize that this cannot exempt them from the criticism of the omniscient and omnipotent BWICAC.
Nope, not at all. I gave him 12 years. He built and then the year he should have made a run he completely folded like a cheap suit. Either his feelings were hurt because he couldn’t extract more money from the school, the pressure was too much for him, or he came to believe in the national reputation he developed and earned. Whichever of the reasons, he couldn’t be allowed to remain in charge.
You continue to defend every coach in the profession not named Matt Campbell. I’ll continue to watch games with an honest assessment of their abilities. See you at 5 AM for your morning piss posting spree about Franklin in, of all misplaced locations, the 2027 recruiting thread. I’m done with this back and forth with you. You’re disingenuous in your approach.

Yeah! That's right, same with recruits under 4 stars, instead of dragging them in the mud.
No spinning it.
You guys are all immature bullies. Marshall is a true fan and you're all so rude. Ignoring all of the Franklin stuff and i'm actually a Franklin support, he truly knows football and can articulate that. His opinions are always well thought out and presented and never stated as fact-you all just don't choose to read them. You say Franklin is a fraud? A used car salesman? That he is a bad coach? When you compare every coach to Joe Paterno,
you're gonna have a bad time. THIS ISN'T 1991. I pray to GOD that PSU hits the pinnacles so many here fill confident they will.
But as an ardent lover of PSU football, WHY do I not have the warm and fuzzies about the state of the program?
Can someone tell me why I really should? My heart beats for PSU so I wouldn't go against my gut-my instinct is pretty worried.
Changing gears-I'm so tired of the disrespect to Franklin after all he did for the program. The way some of you communicate and show your true colors is abysmal-you don't come across as thoughtful or eloquent; you come across as immature and for lack of a better world disloyal.
Even Paterno wouldn't have lasted as long as he did with your lofty expectations. You guys who talk down can't acknowledge his positive traits and use zero intellectual language to defend why you have SUCH concerning vitriol to Franklin. You are idealistic if you think Campbell is just gonna walk in here and do any better. The reality is that we kicked a very good coach to the curb for a potentially good coach.
I'm young but i'm not too stupid to remember to dance with the one that brought you. I love Matt Campbell-it's beyond a miracle we got him, because he's about the ONLY candidate that could carry Franklin's jock. Matt Campbell is the man because he's smart, good talent developer, blue collar, preaches honor, and integrity. SO thrilled we have that at PSU still....So the next time you want to give your opinion, you should speak like Matt Campbell or Marshall does for that matter. It's sad and you can say i'm a Franklin supporter all you want-you're ******* right I am. Because I'm a PSU supporter and he gave 100% to the school and that was apparent from day one. James Franklin is a top ten coach and those don't just grow on trees. Lastly, I would defend ANY of you the way I am standing up for Marshall. If someone's speaking in good faith and factually he should not be disparaged. Marshall's probably forgotten more about football than many of you know.

My apologies. I should have been more specific regarding Manny Diaz. I was thinking about when Diaz was named HC of Temple University. Diaz was the Temple Football HC for 18 days. Then he bolted for more money at Miami. Basically, Diaz stiffed then Temple AD Kraft after giving his word to players and their parents and signing a contract.

Does this make Diaz a low character person based on your definition?
That is definitely a low character choice.

Good news! Florida just announced a $1.45 billion dollar stadium renovation to be completed by 2030. Perhaps they will lag in NIL in upcoming years.
That’s a lot of money for an 88,000 capacity stadium renovation. Northwestern paid over $800 million for their new 35,000 capacity stadium. The price tag for the Beaver Stadium renovation may not be as bad as I thought!

So you are concerned with Penn State's financial risk? Why? If PSU is to reach excellence at the highest level, are you suggesting that PSU doesn't have the resources to compete with the major programs?
I'm not concerned with PSU's financial risk, but I would like to see them win and I know they do not have the money to spend that some other schools do, and too win they are going to have to be smarter with what they spend, and you don't seemed to understand that.

Just because you are not concerned with PSU financial risk doesn't means the school wont be, and no matter how stupid you think they are because they wont pony up to pay for Kemon Spell and Peter Bourque. I feel confident in saying its not stupidity, its the people at PSU that are concerned about financial risk.

Except that the Beaver Stadium project covers about a third of the stadium.

Florida is paying for huge amounts of deferred maintenance, ada compliance, more premium seats and luxury boxes, and new technology. It’s still largely bleacher style after the upgrade. I think we are getting better bang for our buck, but both projects are ungodly amounts of money.

and the team that signed the 5 star that got hit by a bus will be out a whole lot more money than the team that signed the 2 star that got hit by a bus.

Last year all you cared about was beating Ohio state. Now your main concerne is risk management.

It would be a lie to say I've ever really cared about beating OSU. I've enjoyed the majority of the PSU/OSU games over the last ten years more than most games PSU has played. Its high level college football, and they have often been really competitive. Its a helluva lot better than watching PSU whack Villanova by 40+. Does it bother me that PSU losses those games.

Yes, for about 2 minutes, then I go back to the real world. I enjoy PSU football, its good entertinament. Would I'd like to see them win at the highest level. Sure and to do that they are going to have to be smart with the money they spend in the current environment. Sorry, you dont understand that.

Does it really matter to me if they win against OSU or anyone else. Not really.
