Cincinnati is not a good market these days. Smackdown only did 7.2K back there in October for a 16.2 arena when the yearly average for the show at the time was 11.3K.Is there a specific reason why Moxley is never a draw in his own city? It's been mentioned countless times on tv that Cincinnati is his town and there's 1266 for tonight.
And the card for that show included Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Sami Zayn, Bron Brakker. Not exactly overflowing with star power, but Cody is one of the biggest draws in the company. If he can't do better than that in Cincinnati, ain't no one on that AEW roster going to move tickets in Cincinnati.Cincinnati is not a good market these days. I thought SRS shot down the WWE “issue” rumors but then he’s posting this today?I’m going to shoot that guy on Twitter who posted all the unverified rumors to get this nonsense CM Punk conversation started again. Jcup2013 or something like that is his username
He did. The two things aren’t mutually exclusive though.I thought SRS shot down the WWE “issue” rumors but then he’s posting this today?
There's a lot of sincere apologizing, groveling, and ego swallowing Punk would have to do to ever make it work out again, just like what he ended up having to do in WWE.CM Punk needs to be nowhere near an AEW ring in the near or far future. Lesson should be sufficiently learned there for both sides.
It didn't help matters that WWE creative is a mess and had him go out there after WM to cut a promo about how he isn't going anywhere then he proceeds to be off TV for nearly 2 months.A 47 year old takes a well-deserved break from the ring and suddenly he's had a falling out with TKO and people are talking about him and AEW again? Sometimes time off is just time off.
I hate McAfee so much. I wish he'd leave the sports I like alone.
Because he latched on to the Knicks and they had that win streakYes. Those of us that feel this way, and there are many, all feel the same about Skip and Stephen A. They're both sports versions Its literally everything that's wrong with sports media and society in general. Shock value and volume rewarded over substance.
Danhausen is ridiculously stupid but somehow entertaining. I have no clue how he got so suddenly embedded in pop culture. Jmo but his crazy ascent will end just as abruptly in the next 6-12 months.
100% correct. A break makes sense but because of his promo, he's now in "where's Wardlow?" territory. He's just a lightning rod and some want drama to encircle him to watch him spiral. We can also ask where Sheamus and Orton are too but I just assume they're considered part-time guys now and will come and go. But no one created a 'scene' for Orton as has happened with Punk this week lol. Latest news is Punk will end up on SD as it goes back to 2 hours. It didn't help matters that WWE creative is a mess and had him go out there after WM to cut a promo about how he isn't going anywhere then he proceeds to be off TV for nearly 2 months.
Punk is indeed a lightning rod, much of it his own fault, while Orton and Sheamus aren’t. As far as Sheamus goes, he’s never been anywhere close to as liked/hated by fans as much as Punk has, both in terms of quantity and veracity. I’m frankly surprised Sheamus wasn’t one of the people the cut.100% correct. A break makes sense but because of his promo, he's now in "where's Wardlow?" territory. I think HHH LOVES Sheamus and he's always gotten a reaction. Hell, I love the guy even though there's not a lot left for him except the IC title. Even then, fans want Gable to have it next.Punk is indeed a lightning rod, much of it his own fault, while Orton and Sheamus aren’t.
