"They wanted it more" is what simpletons who don't understand the game say. Everybody wants to 17ing win the game. There's a lot of things that go into winning and losing a game, and "they wanted it more" is way down the list, especially in baseball. If McPherson just wanted it more, he wouldn't have walked those guys. If our batters had just wanted it more, they wouldn't strike out. It's a stupid mindset.
