Fans of smaller clubs are funny. Twenty times, six times. I seem to remember that Arsenal has never won a European Trophy, at least one of the big ones. Heck Nottingham Forrest even has two European Cups.
Again all of that is irrelevant to TODAY. Today Liverpool sacked the manager that won the league a year ago after a feud with their exiting star who acted like a diva on the way out and divided the locker room. Today Arsenal (premier league champion) lost in penalties to the now back to back UCL winners. Who would you rather be right now?
I’ve been a Liverpool fan since Robbie Fowler and Stan Collymore were the strikers. I’m not a Johnny come lately on this. Nor did I pick them because they were winning a lot at the time. They damn sure weren’t Back then. I didn’t even know anything about their history till I was already hooked. I liked their style and the vibe that was always around the club, till this year. That’s why Slot was let go, not the results on the pitch. Klopp had worse seasons, but he never killed the style and the vibe. He enhanced it with every move he made. Slot destroyed it. It will be back.
And the Kop will see that the vibe and style returns. The Kop is the heart of the club, not the owners or the players.
