Thank you City!!!! That all but puts Liverpool in the CL next season. Congratulations to Arsenal. I'd rather see a proper club like Arsenal win the title.

I don’t know man. The way we concede goals & no fight at all, I’m not gonna feel comfortable until we clinch.

It would take a huge collapse and something special from Bournemouth to overcome the goal difference. I did say all but though. If we don't get in now we don't deserve it.

At the other end of the table it's gonna be a nervous Sunday for Spurs.

Leicester City women relegated to 2nd division in the same year their men are relegated to 3rd division. Not a good year to be a Leicester fan.

Spurs stay up. West Ham relegated. Liverpool finish 5th. That draw pretty much summed up our season.
Yet another lackluster performance & again no clean sheet. Best thing that can be said about this season is it’s over.

I bet the London police are not looking forward to next season, West Ham vs Millwall is back on the schedule. If you have never seen it watch the movie “Green Street Hooligans“ sometime. That is one nasty rivalry. That movie is loosely based in truth.

It wasn’t a good one, but given all the changes the objective had to be to qualify for the Champions League, which we did. From stuff I’m seeing it’s going to be another crazy off season. We already know about Mo and Robbo leaving, there will be others I think, and maybe a major one or two. The title winning team will mostly be gone next year. The key is the incomings, and who the manager is. I thought Slot was perfect last year, a somewhat more restrained but still a recognizable version of heavy metal football. It kept the legs a little fresher down the stretch, and that really did help. Too much restraint now. The Liverpool identity was not evident much if at all this year.

Honestly just thankful for another season where I didn’t have to worry about Everton going down. Excited to see what we can do in the summer window. Lots of work needed

Saw a quote about Tottenham needing a result to stay up. Said they were playing Everton, the Tottenham of the north. Much as I hate Everton I have to say they’re finally on the right path after a decade of underperforming.

I don’t think there’s any question Slot will be back. For better or worse. But yeah. Lot of changes needed. This will be a make or break offseason. It could go either way.

Trending in the right direction. Not sure Moyes is the guy to keep that progress going but he and the Friedkin’s have stabilized quickly

Moyes career is that he definitely has a ceiling. He’ll keep a club competitive but never win big.
I hope that we at least tested the waters on Iraola. If he’s truly interested in Palace, I would think we could convince him. I imagine he’ll end up at a big club though

I thought so too, till very recently. He still probably will be, but it’s not a completely sure thing as it once was.

It’s hard to believe now, but in Liverpool‘s golden era in the 70s and 80s their main competition domestically was Everton. As much as Liverpool slumped after that, Everton collapsed.

The 90’s were definitely not kind. Turned things back around in the 00’s with Moyes. Then Moshiri happened.

Who or what is Moshiri? I didn’t start watching until NBCSN started showing EPL games about 12-15?years ago. First I ever heard of David moyes he was the Man United coach.

Farhad Moshiri was Everton’s owner until Friedkin bought the club a couple years ago. Years and years of mismanagement eventually got us in trouble with financial fair play once all his funding from Russian oligarchs got nixed after the Ukraine invasion. Honestly a miracle we stayed up after the points deduction.

Moyes was with Everton before United and was very successful in turning the club around

Ah. I remember all the mismanagement but forgot the owners name. I thought you were referring to something before my time. Thanks.

Nah, I’ve only been watching for about as long as you have. Started following Everton after Tim Howard’s 2014 World Cup.

Crystal Palace defeat Rayo Vallecano 1-0 and win the UEFA Conference League

The Eagles (that’s Palace) will be in the 2026-27 Europa League

Rayo was a very unlikable team. Biggest bunch of whiners complainers & cheap shot artist you’ll see. In other words a typical Spanish team. CP was clearly the better team & should have gotten a 2nd or 3rd goal. That’s 2 for 2 for EPL in the European finals. Arsenal goes for the sweep.

Looks like Spurs will sign Andy Robertson after his Liverpool exit. Wished we could have brought him in for some locker room experience in January, but a good pickup I think.

Should we start an EPL Transfer thread for the summer?

Robbo was a great player, maybe the best left back in the world for a time. He is still decent but his legs aren't what they were. Liverpool shipped WAY too many goals this year. His replacement didn't have a good year either. Liverpool's back line was terribly lacking.

We usually start a new thread when the new season starts.

Yeah, I think they are mainly bringing him in to boost morale in the locker room and as a backup since Udogie seems to be injury prone. Ben Davies was solid for us there for so long, but not sure what his future looks like after the ankle injury back in January and his contract expiring this summer.

Absolutely on the thread. Hopefully it’s more than just me arguing with the Liverpool people @patdog @L4Dawg
