I've been reading about water in the American Southwest, mainly LA and Colorado River.

It's probably good to remember "Chinatown" was a movie NOT a documentary, so forget the film and it's characters.

LA receives about 40 % of it's water from the Colo and the reservoir above Parker Dam.
The Imperial Valley agriculture farms utilize about 50 % + of their water needs.
There are well over 1,000 + dams and a separate 1,000 + reservoirs in Callie alone.

The Commissioners of the Electric & Water boards are generally politicians, since the Chairman's yearly salary is $ 750,000 a year ! That tells you all you need to know !

They are operating power plants for electricity built 100 years ago !

To the best of my research they lose 100's of millions of gallons daily into the Pacific. I am unsure if this is treated water or not. For example, Manhattan loses 100-300,000,000 millions of untreated "water" into the Hudson River as their waste treatment plants are over loaded beyond capacity, if it rains.

I was unable to find any large scale desalination water plants working or planned in LA.

Tell that to the parents of those killed.
All the available data documents violent crime rates are lower for illegal immigrants than US citizens. Showing pictures of murder victims killed by illegal immigrants doesn't make any point other than people will use any excuse to hate marginalized groups.

All of those stats are flawed, and outdated. It’s well known that non citizens are also less likely to report crime, which makes the statistics inaccurate.

We used to heavily vet non citizens. Biden/Harris stopped that. And not surprisingly, we brought in some really terrible people.

Marginalized groups = illegal immigrants = murder victims that were unnecessary !
ALL illegal immigrants are criminals, murder is just another charge.

Another killing... Coach Rat Faces, Grandson charged with death by auto DWI, ran over a 15 year old on a bike.

I HATE murderers AND DRUNKS DRIVING !

Going to see a lot of these this spring/summer. We have a fire watch/warning the next few days.

Vancouver Island with a fire today, too. I guess not all of Canada is cold. Record temps up there, too.

Not true regarding reporting of crime at least until Trump made them afraid.

76% are “concerned about calling the police”, but they also say non-citizens are more likely to report crime.

C’mon man. Non-citizens are not the victims of that much less crime. They just don’t report it. This was well known during the Venezuelan crime wave here. Non-citizens were more vulnerable, and less likely to report.

The stats likely looked different pre CHNV and post CHNV. Biden/Harris decided to import people from some of the most violent countries in the world.

BW, can you help them? Maybe we should just send them a study from 30 years ago.

The reason was not to help anywhere, just to show you that Arizona, that you want to force depopulation upon, had started realizing the issue and how to solve it as early as 1995.

The irony is that it flew right over your head.

I don’t care about the poles. I care about the places where people live and where we grow our food. When we start doing that at the poles, or in Canada, I might be more concerned. But those places have low populations and we don’t depend on them for food.

This all started because you said Biden was responsible for high beef prices. Biden is gone and prices aren’t going down. It’s OK to admit you aren’t an expert on everything.
The water is a problem with cattle ranchers in my area. I had a couple of drinks with one yesterday and he has shrunk his heard because of water problems. I am guessing there are multiple reasons.

Arizona has been proactive on water since before statehood, yet somehow a “self-proclaimed” influencer, LOL, thinks he has discovered and started something in 2026!

As lame a post as this board has seen. Hell, I took the $200 from the City of Chandler in 2004 to desertscape my estate. What a cheap trade for water conservation.

Correct. We know the majority of those crossing are lower socioeconomic class. We also know that class will offend criminally at much higher rate. We have also seen numerous examples of leftwing city data reporters listing hispanic or black perps as white to protect fake talking points.

Is Colorado proactively cutting forest breaks and other helpful actions to help minimize this threat?

My area is very dry and we are very proactive on these things.

Per TJ, you “bent over for Joe,” therefore you’re a vaxer. Congrats! 🎉🎊
Nope, some people were actually in the at-risk category (frail, vulnerable or older). Jeff is old and thought he was doing the right thing.

Others like you bent over for your guy Joe. You were mid-30s, a self-proclaimed "elite" D3 XC runner, etc. Hell, you were champion of the old folks home 5k seven years running when you bent over for Joe.

In no way did you need the death jab, yet you took it. Congrats on supporting tyranny and being afraid of the wrath of Democrats and the winter of Death.

They did some controlled burns this winter, but had to stop pretty early because of record heat. Some counties are better than others.

Major fire concerns tomorrow. High temps and high winds.

I saw a documentary about a swimmer who swam the entire length of the Hudson River from it's start till it's terminus at Battery Park at the base of Manhattan.

He had to receive hepatitis vaccination shots before starting his "swim"...

When I used to night supervise my companies several 100 + security sites on Manhattan, some nights I would park next to a NYC treatment site that exited treated water into the Hudson. I stopped parking there when 3 dead bodies were found floating there on successive nights !

Arizona was proactive when they had 400k people. Now they are screwed, and want a similar water deal. Good luck. Also, good luck to the people in the small town in Arizona that are set to have their water shut off in July.

Talk to any rancher and they will tell you that it’s a scary situation in the SW. We don’t get enough rain to keep up with the demand of our growing populations.

It’s common sense among people that work the land. For some reason it upsets some people. They are convinced the rain is just going to happen, and be sufficient. But that’s not the case. We have used up most of the groundwater in several areas, and it’s not coming back. Constant water deficit, and it’s not going to change without some type of intervention.

For the record, I find it indicative of Dem voter's TDS to laugh at the rape and murder of young girls. How embarrassing for them

#1. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.

Fire proof/resistant your home.
Change your roof from oil based roofing coverings.
Cut back all flammable plantings close/touching your home.
If you have a pool, fill it. Buy pump and hoses powerful enough to reach the highest point of your home, from your water source/pool. Make sure your pump has enough fuel/energy to power its use. KOI pond is helpful.
Wet down your dried out lawn and roof before it ignites.

Check your home insurance coverages.

Fill your 2 SUV's with gas and your "bug out" bags.

There are specific ADVANCE requirements you should do in high weather conditions areas.

1. Prepare for losing power/water pressure.
a. Fill car gas tanks, have extra 5 gallon cans filled.
b. have cash available.
c. auxiliary power source for food storage/cooking with power to run all.
d. potable drinking/flushing water.
2. Be prepared to "Bug Out".
a. where will you live.

Easiest is to buy a bug out book for your area.

Be a good Boy Scout, be prepared.

This scumbag liberal assaulted a female hispanic reporter. He is now asking for pity and money to his GoFundMe account. I am guessing he will get plenty of takers from...checks notes....the self -proclaimed party of minorities and women 🧐

I appreciate that you care for people. You are correct about some of the mitigations. No pool or pond. It’s tough to water the lawn and plants. We are on restrictions and only supposed to water twice a week for 12 minutes.

I did cut back all the plants about a month ago and removed an old tree that could have been a problem. Doing the small things that I can, and we are prepared.

Fortunarely my town had a detailed development plan that restricted growth. We will not add more people in my town. They designed the town with several natural areas between neighborhoods, which makes it more difficult for fires to spread quickly. Many other communities were not as well thought out.

Not real concerned about my house and family, we should be safe. But a lot people live in areas that were not planned as well.
